In a perfect world you would be correct but we don't live in a perfect world unfortunately. They represent Russia and that's enough reason for many. Yes there are many televoters who feel the same way but there are just as many who don't xshrug

Just like last year so many here showed complete disgust that the UK dared to give points to Russia (it was the jury that made it happen) and flat out stated no way in hell the British televoters would ever vote for Russia. You got people here flat out admitting they would NEVER vote for Russia regardless of the song.

This is one of the reasons that I'm not excited about connecting specific jury rankings with their respective jury member. It's great that the names of all the jury members are published for all to see. But now that jury members know that everyone will be able to scrutinize their personal rankings of the songs, they will be hesitant to highly rank a song that they think is good just because of politics... And conversely, they might highly rank a song that they don't like because they know they will get criticism for not appreciating it. xshrug

It was around #14-#15 before the rehearsals and ESC even began so your wrong. They were steadily losing steam in the betting before the song was even presented

Your opinion is no surprise since you've been one of the primary Russia bashers far before the song was even revealed

Go check esctracker. It was #12 on Sunday, a day before the rehearsal started. Stop making things up. Maybe you shouldn't have invaded other countries if you were so concerned about public backlash.

A good way of solving this problem whilst still making things transparent would be to ditch this dreadful full ranking of every song thing they brought in last year. Just make them do a top 10 which would a. be fairer and b. put less pressure on the juries as they won't have to publicly trash entries. A top 10 is positive and all that needs to be done and seen.

Even though I like this song a lot, I think that the vocal part is very weak in the first part of the song.

Terrible interpretation of Star Wars and Princess Leia.

Oh! The seesaw is motorized. When one of the twins stepped down I feared that the other one was going to fall face flat on the floor.
The guy entering just to open the semicircle is pretty pointless, IMHO. They could have it automatized, too.

I can't contain myself. This performance is gimmick central and I love it xheat

I got scared as well when she stepped off the seesaw thinking her sister was going to fall flat on her facexfaint

I get the feeling that we may have a final without Russia this year... the song is weak & the staging is kind of awkward.
Even if this gets trough, I fear it's only because of the friendly neighbors, imho.

When did that ever stop Russia from qualifying? If they made it through in 2010, then they will make it easily this year!

Vote for Russia b*tches!

Now seriously, the stylist should be sacked, they look like single mums in their late 30's! I much prefer their innocent look in the preview video (I'd rather have that recreated without the see-saw, however great it might look on TV!)

Gosh I hate that hair style they have, and those hats that appear and disappear :p I still expect Russia to qualify for the final without much trouble though.

Not one of my favorite songs and I am not a fan of the performance either... would have nothing against Russia staying the semis this year, but I´m afraid that won´t happen.

Their press conferences has shown that it might be a bit boring over there if they don't speak english. They barely could tell anything. So, they should represent Russia 3 times in a row and they will be as fluent as Valentina Monetta, even though she tried to speak a bit in the first year =)

I really liked a lot this song before the rehearshal... so as a not big fan of Star Wars I will try only listening the song or even see only the cheap video clip
