Well, any entry wouldn't be too happy if Ukraine starts before them. But Russia, Ukraine and then Netherlands is even worse. And Montenegro right after is a complete disaster for the Netherlands.

I don't think the Netherlands are that screwed. I'd say Russia are more screwed, which is good
San Marino though had a great draw! Between Latvia and Macedonia, far weak IMO, and it's number 2. As it's only 17 songs, and 2 is one of the first ones, I think the regular people will remember the song well. I think it's easier to remember the first songs than the ones in the middle, I'd say. But as the semi-finals have such a small number of entries that doesn't count as much.

The thing is, it's not right after, there's a break that will allow people to reflect how great the dutch entry is

Yeah I understand... But it's just that the Netherlands anywhere in the first half of Semi 1 sucks. I'm not in the mind of the producers, but if you look at the semi-finals from 2009-2012, you see there's a trend that songs qualify in clusters, then whole clusters get ignored. IMO pos. 9-12 are gonna get ignored, which in turn means Serbia will qualify with a horrible song.

Does anyone here realize that we have now over 1300 songs that as of this year have taken the stage at ESC in the past 58 years? Congrats Azerbaijan for song number 1300 (1319 songs in total from 1956 to today)

Adverts usually go after songs 4 or 5, so I think the draw isn't good news for Croatia and Azerbaijan (or even Finland)

Serbia and Romania performing last (YES!), though I had hoped Montenegro would go last in SF1, but number 9 is good.

Belgium can benefit. So can Georgia and Switzerland.

I'm a little worried about San Marino since it's drawn second, but if Latvia messes up, it's more for Valentina...

Gravity is not really a ballad... I think the draw is odd because both Gravity and Birds are theatrical kind of entries that are in a bit odd and with strong female vocalists... and now they are put next to eachother...
