Whats a real opera singer? I actually don't like this "real" business. I know the people that listen to opera can be very snooty people and quite above themselves. It seems a very elitist culture to be a part of. Thats probably why i'm not actually keen on the genre and haven't really explored much of it although I respect it. Cezar actually has some balls for doing this because yeah, the people in his world I can't imagine are going to be best pleased with him... or maybe they are nice people and respect him no matter what?

I'm absolutely delighted that Rihanna and Beyonce don't appear at ESC. I actually find it hard to think of a singer I dislike more than Beyonce.

I'm really sorry, but in all jobs there is a border between quality and non quality, opera singing is not an excuse..

Big and quality opera singers would be ashamed to accept lame composition as this one..I'm really sorry, I'm just being realistic.. :)

This is quality though..... quality eurotrashxyes And i'm pretty darn sure Cezar knows this too. This isn't a night at the opera, this is a night at the most colourful, most camp music concert in the world. Cezar does a cracking job performing this song. It's just brilliant for what it is and i'm very sorry that you'll be there suffering through it in the arena when I could be in your place having the time of my life.

I'm just person who doesn't like to mix up things, everything should be on it's place...I accept that only as euroTRASH, and I hate it, that is how I feel about it... :)

I like mixing stuff. I'm open to anything. I don't limit myself to music in one form although I still very much can enjoy something in it's purity. And in it's purity is usually were you'll find the most soul and heart.

But in that mixing you should be more careful IMO, we can't compare Cezar and some great opera singers, its a kind of insult! :)

But I don't think I did compare Cezar and great opera singers? I said I think he performs his song really well to which you responded that your friend who sings opera said he wasn't good. I'm not comparing him to other opera singers. I'm judging him based on his song in the contest and his performance of it. I like him and nothing will change that. As I said this is ESC, not a night at the opera.

I am not a fan of the combination of this voice with this song, I don't want Cezar to qualify with this song, but I admit that Cezar is a great singer, one of the best in the opera world. And people from this domain are confirming my believes. Mrm, your friend can be just jelous for Cezar abilities. I congratulate Cezar because he was brave accepting this song and to apper on Eurovision. Maybe not many musicians will like to see a singer like him on Esc stage, but they all will be able to admit that he is a great singer. You will see this in juries votes.

@ Centrix

You are right about the song, it's really horrible composition, it's a shame for any opera singer to accept smth as bad as this! :? But all right, it's his career, his life..

The song is good, but not for his voice. Mihai Traistariu will be a good choice for it.

Well, sorry, but i find that entry very lame, both composition and orchestration are awful, and lyrics are banal as hell, I'm sick of lyrics "It's my life" already! :? can be less original seriously? :? :(

He could have gone "Tonight we can be glorious" over some cheap, tacky techno beats from 10 years ago.

Instead he's gone "It's my Life" over some cheap, tacky (but oh so delicious) dubstep beats.

This is the first time for me to hear that lyrics in ESC, while "It's my life" is really boring in ESC already, how many songs were like that!? :? You have to admit that.. at least.. :)

I'll admit that you don't exactly find the most creative lyrics at Eurovision. With "It's My Life" i'm far too busy enjoying the splendour and whole ridiculously over the top extravagance of the song to notice the simple, cliche lyrics. I can't say the same for Cascada though but maybe you can?

I enjoy Cascada because song/beats, lyrics, and performance have sense, it's a song for clubbing, while this nonsense is messy, composition, performance and lyrics are in disbalance..in my book..

Ahhhh now you see I don't do clubbing. I do more rituals around a fire when the moon is full whilst listening to Nico's Desert Shore album.

Thank you, I occasionally love my own comments as well.. then I remind myself to be humble:rolleyes: It's fun to write about things absolutely no one will know about though:lol: Like Nico's Desert Shore album. I suggest everyone goes and listens to it now!

Oh and what do we have here? A link to the full album "Desert Shore" by Velvet Undergrounder and cult icon of experimental folk music, Nico:rolleyes:

Excuse me but I have have been dancing to folk music since the release of "Imperija". Through the art of imitation i've learnt to dance just like Esma. I think you'll also find my 22 years of experience in the art of Jazz dance helps greatly with my transition to Folk dance.

You needn't worry about your own dancing talents. The art of pole dancing is actually very healthy for you and well regarded. It's a good way of keeping fit.
