OK! Let's see. The composer is Cristian Faur, the one who did Let me try in 2005. If we search for a similarity in Eurovision I will say Tornero and Mihai Traistariu. The negative also reminds me Let me try. The way he sings will be different, he will search the best way to sing this song. Maybe an octave less will be enough for the song and your sensitive ears. The show will look great, I am sure about that. Together with his voice, the elements from the show will be very shocking, for some in a good way, for others in a bad way... it will be socking and I think that this is what Eurovision needs, a song to be different and you can say what you want about it, but it is different. I think that in the mind of the composer, the one who thinked at this formula, was a combination between Romania 2005 and 2006 and a shocking element like we had with Lordi. And to not forget that Cezar is one of the fewest world's countertenors, graduated Milan Conservatory of Music being the best from his generation with colaborations with Andrea Bocelli, Angela Gheorghiu or Vangelis.

@ Centrix,
you dont have to prove anything to anyone.
If you like the song, and you support your country's entry, and you believe it will do very well, its ok for you.
It seems that many people from the forum do not like it,and they believe that it will not do well in Malmo. Please respect also their opinion, and dont try to persuade them.

LOL! Did you have the impression I persuade someone? I just said my opinion. I believe it will do very well, but I am not his fan. I am Luminita's fan. I just searched for myself the advantages of Romanian entry and I put them here, too. I really don't care about what place it will obrain in Malmo. I will be happy for my country only if this will win. But if it will be 2nd in the final or last in the semifinal... I don't care.

I'm one who appreciates difference, but I have to remind you that different doesn't always mean good. For instance if I was to go into the eurovision stage as a contestant for my country I can assure you it would be very different indeed. But of one thing you can be certain as well: it would be horrible, and no two ways about it

Are you 100% sure of this? I mean, has someone checked his qualifications? Couldn't he be the real guy's twin brother? Because by what we can see, this very impressive curriculum is a litle hard to swallow. It's that or the poor man's been suffering from heavy depression and this is the outcome of all the pills and stuff :|

I anixi, your comments seems more subjective than mine. :) I can't be sure about nothing, I guess you can't be sure, also. In wikipedia translated from Romania you can found some confirmations: Google Translate

Some people here say that the winner was already known before semifinals... A girl whose father works in TVR (Romanian TV) told it... and other people say it too... It seems that the whole thing was a maquerade.

This reminds me of what happens almost every year in Greece after the results of the beauty contest for Star Hellas/Miss Hellas!!!

Well, people were complaining here in Romania that we should send something with more like a 'shock effect' to make the song easy to remember and get lots of points.
Yeah, I can truly say it won't be a shocker for me when we won't even get past the semis! :))

Well, here you have a link with his biography, from the Opera of Lausanne. I suppose you'll believe this ;)

Opéra de Lausanne - Florin Cezar Ouatu

It is also confirmed that he will sing with Andrea Bocelli and Angela Gheorghiu in Bocelli's concert in Bucharest, on 25th of May.

Also, if you want to check how he sounds singing opera, search for "Florin Cezar Ouatu" in Google.

He should have been given with a better entry then! From the bio that you linked, it seems that he's way above the kitch-fest of an entry he has.

I agree with you.
And I want to make it clear that I'm not his fan, didn't know who he was before the show. But with everybody praising him so much, I did some research.
And I have mixed feelings about the song, 1st time I heard it (semifinal) I was like "what the hell is this", 2nd time (final) still didn't like it, then after he got 1st in televote I listened to it a couple of times more, to see if I was missing something :)but I still didn't like it. And then I totally surprised myself singing it, and couldn't get it out of my head for a couple of days
I feel like this could have some potential, with some changes, but I don't know which ones. And I'm not taking the risk of listening to it again ;)

See his performance here and you won't need any biography .

IS enough to hear him singing opera.

Decided to give it 2nd listen today. Awful, just awful. His singing is annoying me so much, the only ok thing about this song is instrumental. I can't believe Romania could send this shet.

i though there was nothing in this years eurovision that could make me happy. song after song has been presented and with that my hope has been sinking and ive felt like theres nothing that could bring back my interest in the competition. and then comes romania, its sooo horribly bad and kitchy out of touch and wierd that i just have to love it with a passion,12 points.thank you romania for saving this years eurovision for me. by any standards this should be the worst song ever made but in a eurovision setting its a saviour :)xfruits:xbbxwooxgoodxjumpxhbangxsponge
