We don't recognize Cyprus either. But that does not prevent us from participating along with them. As I said Qatar has relations with Israel and I don't understand why they would even show interest in joining despite knowing that Israel is also participating anyway.

They want to join, but on the condition that Israel is out and this is what they're going to tell to EBU xshrug

And Turkey and Cyprus is a different case than Israel and Qatar. Turkey does not have a religious war with Cyprus for over 2000 years.

It is impossible to Qatar participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. To be a full member of the EBU, all countries need to be within the European Broadcasting Area OR be a member of the Council of Europe. Qatar is neither.

And let's hope it'll remain that way...

I know right? I think it's time to change the rules for ESC participation actually, I don't think just being an EBU member should be enough, I think countries outside of the continent should simply not be allowed to enter (except for the ones already in)...

Who has a war for over 2000 years? Israel is not in war with Qatar.

What do you know about Turkey and Cyprus?

Israel is culturally European? Since when?

The reason why Israel competes in European event is because they would not be accepted in Asian/Middle-Eastern events for obvious reasons.

Israel is not Christian (which the majority of European countries are)
Hebrew is not an Indo-European language
Circumcision is widespread in Israel while not so much in Europe

That enough?

I think you talk more about the religious issue more than the culture one ;)
On the other side I can tell that Israel is liberal country, some cities have majority of people who speak Spanish or French. Most of Israelis speak English and French (study in school), half the population here are from Europe, including 1 milions Russians which are 1/7 of the Israeli population. Some cities which have majority of Christians like Nazareth in Israel. After all I can't see much difference between the Greek/Cypriot culture to the Israeli one ;)

Oh plz!!!

So you think Western Europe is "culturally European" then with their mini-Baghdads, mini-Mogadishus & mini-Islamabads and Sharia/No-Go-Zones where ethnic-Europeans may even risk their life entering? xshrug

According to your logic, then one can highly question how "culturally Europe" some parts of traditional Europe actually is nowadays... xshrug

For your info, circumcision is very common in western/"Europeanized" USA aswell (and I don't mean amongst the Jewish/Muslim community there, but generally speaking)... so does that mean USA is a non-western culture then?

As a matter of fact, Israel is way more western and European than parts of Europe is today xshrug I know you live in Poland which is a country that yet hasn't transformed into Eurabia, but I can assure you that in just some decade/s, Israel will be way more western/European than most of Western/North/Central & South-Europe will be...

... Oh and Finnish, Estonian and Hungarian aren't Indo-European languages either, aren't they "culturally Europe" then? xshrug

That's enough?

And western European countries will become Muslim, no doubt about this, luckily the center and east of Europe is and will be free from this.

a this pros i like the song of israeli 2007 the first words are very profetic
The world is full of terror
If someone makes an error
He's gonna blow us up
To biddy biddy kingdom come
There are some crazy rulers
They hide and try to fool us
With demonic, technologic
Willingness to harm
There's a lot of suffering
Dans la rue y'a trop d'violence In the streets there's too much violence
Et on a beaucoup de chance And we are very lucky
D'être vivant, même pas blessés To be alive, even unscathed

Avancement tactique de régime fanatique Tactical advancement of a fanatical regime
Situation tragique A tragic situation
Qui me met les larmes aux yeux That brings tears to my eyes

There are some crazy rulers
They hide and try to fool us
With demonic, technologic
Willingness to harm
There's a lot of suffering

I'd gladly see Israel in the EU ! xcheer

You mean Central-East right? Because Western-Central is already heading down that direction...

Oh and with the new EU rules that will even FORCE countries like yours to transform into European Iraqis, then your time will come aswell my friend ;) All Europe is going down now :(
