This is really difficult as i'm having to include stuff I really, really don't like and excluding stuff that I do.

:uk::ua::se::ru::sm::no::ro::nl::it::fr:

just outside top 10 in places 11-16 :md::bg::al::az::dk:

I'll be that one brave person who doesn't predict a top 10 placing for Denmark but also the weirdo that thinks Romania might make itxcrazy

Honestly though I wouldn't like to bet on the outcome of this years contest. My choices there were half brain, half heart. 100% brain this year would be too taxing and heart worked for me last year so..:rolleyes:

If :ro: reaches the top 10 in the final I will treat you with a trip to San Marino, including a stay in a hotel of your choice.

I'm actually more baffled that you have Cezar in the top 10 than Denmark out of it. If Cezar gets top 10 this year then I expect Eurovision to recieve endless ridicule afterwards. And I might vomit a little bit.

I feel very confident about the following, random order (not claiming this to be top 4): :dk::ru::no::ua:

The I am pretty sure these four will also be in top 10: :uk::de::it::az:

And for the last couple of places in the top 10: :nl::ie:

But others will also compete for the top 10, especially: :fi::ge::sm::gr:

I don't believe that Denmark will do so well as everyone thinks... I can't see something special in it & to me it's a very boring song. :? :confused:

In no order:
:dk::no::uk::gr::de::it: (and I'll be happy)
:ru::ua: (if it was up to me they would be below 20th)
:ge::az: (I have doubts about Azerbaijan but anyway...IMHO they don't even deseve to make it through)

"Most safe": Greece, Georgia, Norway

"Could go either way"/"Biggest question marks": Montenegro, Ukraine

"Borderliners": Azerbaijan, Germany, Sweden

Russia and Bulgaria are somewhere between "most safe" and "boderliner" (the former closer to the former, the latter closer to the latter category).

No Italy because Europe just isn't open for Jazz and the song is less accessible than their previous two entries IMHO.

Really? I think their 2011 was more inaccessible, I'm still surprised it finished second.

Jazz!?xrofl

It's not jazz music in the slightest. You're right though, Europe isn't open for jazz which is why there is hardly ever any of it in the contest. Italy 2011 came 2nd with a song done in jazz stride style. The only other fairly recent song with elements of jazz I can think of in the contest was Moldova's "Century Of Love" a few years back.

Marco just has a timeless, quite classy, piano led pop ballad.

I hope you are right about Bulgaria being top 10. I'm getting really good feelings about their stage show and the energy they'll be putting into their performance. Could surprise everyone and be a big hit on the night:p

I agree with rainywoods, I don't see any jazz there at all. 2011 was a real jazz song and it came 2nd...

The thing about Italy is that despite being really good in the same way they couldn't achieve more than barely top ten with televoters.

I don't see why suddenly they would top the televoting with the the same kind of song.

Only very well staged ballads from the Balkans can do well with televoting these days .

There you're right... I'm surprised they struggled with televoting last year actually.
