Hey B!tches
So this is my ranking of all 39 entries. All in all, I think it's a weak year with too many insignificant songs.
I must say that my order of preference is kinda random in some places, because I simply don't have an opinion on some of the songs.
01
This ended up as my favourite. Everything about it is classy, sexy and fierce. It sounds like a movie soundtrack. The melody lacks something though.
02
I love PeR. They're like Jedward but with musicality and content. I wish more acts like this would go to Eurovision. The song is total feel-good. The chorus is catchy, but a bit cheap as well.
03
This sounds like it's taken from a Disney movie. It's cheesy, but the amazing melody makes up for it. I actually think it has the best melody in this edition. The revamp destroyed some parts though.
04
Beautiful and sweet song. Makes me feel good. Another one of the strongest melodies. I like the celtic sound.
05
A strong dance anthem sung by a male artist which sets it apart.
06
This song makes me want to bootypop and that's always a good sign
It deserves respect for being the only 100% contemporary song this year.
07
It's static but still interesting. The production and the language sounds delicious.
08
Feel-good pop. It does what it's supposed to. Stupid but tongue-in-cheek and catchy.
09
Dancy folkmusic is always nice. The dubstep seems silly. Very catchy chorus.
10
I like that she wrote it herself. The dubstep sounds interestring in this, but also a bit confusing. The melody is fairly catchy.
11
Trashy, slutty and funny. A bit like Feminnem in 2005. Reminds me of good times.
12
Guilty pleasure. Cascada makes discount-music, but it's enjoyable nevertheless.
13
The revamp worked wonders. It has a nice melody, but it's nothing special.
14
It seems a bit too conservative for me, but it's cute and pleasant.
15
Eros Ramazzotti comes to mind. Nice melody in some parts. Too typical.
16
Feel-good ballad. She looks so cute. Nothing spectacular like I would expect from UK, but enjoyable.
17
Interesting melody but uninteresting singer.
18
He's so damn smarmy it's disturbing. I like the folky touch of the song, but the melody is silly.
19
Powerful music but I'm just not too fond of this kind of "old-man's-rock".
20
He's HAWT but the song is pathetic. The chorus is stolen from thousands of other songs, but somehow it still works.
21
A pretty but very generic melody.
22
This song beat my potential 1st placer of ESC 2013, so maybe I hate it more than it deserves. There is something very beatiful in the melody and the lyrics and the fact that he looks like an autist, but it seems pretentious. A brit-pop wannabe song.
23
This just doesn't speak to me.
24
Ridiculously fake and manufactured. G:son just knows how to write a catchy melody, which I hope won't fool people.
25
Sweet song but too sweet.
26
I can't really get into this song. Nice try but I don't think it's my thing.
27
Annoying but fairly sweet. Tries to give a "feel-good-siger/songwriter"-vibe, but it's too much.
28
Emotionally raping and annoying.
29
When you look up the word "cheesy" this is what you should find. It's quite simply disgusting.
30
Silly.
31
Bad song. Especially in the chorus. Pseudo-indie/folk.
32
I like Esma's singing but this song is just a mess.
33
Annoying. Embarrassing chorus, even if it's meant as tongue-in-cheek. I only like the instrumentation.
34
Nice harmonies I guess, but not my thing.
35
Seems very american. Not my thing. He has a great voice though.
36
Filler. It almost provokes me how generic this is. A complete nonentity.
37
Absolutely stupid! They should've picked Satsura and kept his song. It was also stupid but strangely addicting and funny.
38
Unbearable. The fact that this won with 1 point over Electric Fence rocks my world. Why Romania!!???
39
Another embarrassing song. This has to take my last place because of the idiotic melody.
