How popular is the ESC in :pl: actually?? xthink

I think it's the same like in Germany (some sort of). 3,5 million viewers last year and a share of 39%. In 2014, over 4,6 million ppl watched it. These are fantastic viewing figures...and we always see well-established acts taking part in National Finals - they even take part with popular songs or hits (like Blanka, Dario or Donatan/Cleo).
And it's good enough to create some buzz like Doda claiming she's submitting song every other year and popular acts and legends consider taking part again as well, e.g. Edyta, Justyna.

And also that fresh and Young artist who are popular and impactful in the current music scene like Lanberry, Luna and Ochman want to take part is a good sign... apart from TVP's mess 2021, just looking at the artists who want to compete, ESC got a better reputation amongst acts than in Germany... when it comes to viewing figures, it's Big 5-ish...

Is is possible that the song "W KOLORKU AMARETTO" from Pan Savyan is selected for Poland? It's like Little Big but actually charmingly good, not annoying like they were.

I ckecked it and it seems it's just a joke song. Wouldn't expect it to participate.

I don't get the hype about the new song of Justyna Steczkowska with which she wants to represent Poland. It is not bad ... I mean it is even interesting but for me a lot of appeal gets lost due to the manner that Justyna recently uses when singing, it as if there was some remaining food in her mouth that she needs to swallow. Similar style of music has been done better by many artists but I guess not many people are familiar with those. It is usually though lacking a pop beat that this song has. And not ... it is not as good this hit from the 90s was that this song gets compared to by some people on YT.

Neither as good as the other two singles were from that debut album of Justyna which both got phenomenal music videos to them (a real rarity for Poland back in the 90s, we were really ... poor back then so maybe that was the reason). But it was rather the artistry and the creativity of people behind them that managed to make them look so cool even now.

Is it really being compared to "Dziewczyna szamana"?
I wouldn't say they have anything in common, actually.

I like only parts of Justyna's songs. Chorus is a bit underwhelming for Eurovision, very basic

Yeah, her songs are often like that ... there's something good but also a lot of meh or even bleh in them too. A mixed bag within one song. Hopefully we can have something better for the ESC this year.

es gibt "schmatterlinge",baby!
weird song but it seems i like it - the first one sounds also good - the last one sounds like a copycat and the big favorite is also in,so for what all this other songs?
i hope for the music.
i don't like the bitchfavorite - it's so outdated.
sounds like the winner from 2004 over 20 years later. xcookie

I think people here underestimate the effect witcher-themed song would havein terms of promotion etc. Just put some weird ass ritual on stage, pretend dancers or backing singers are Ciri and Triss, don't make it cringey with effects like River or Solo, and we're good. Justyna could have her redemption.

Imho tough, but doable. Rest of the songs listed in these recaps will not cut it, most of them are amateur, bland, or both.

Hahaha not gonna happen.
They would probably give us some bonfire effects and making some moon appear whilst a witch on a broom flies from every corner of the TV.
