I'm a bit envious of fans from countries where we already know something about Eurovision 2024. In my country, due to the recent parliamentary elections, everything will be delayed. Moreover, there are to be changes in TVP itself and various variants are already being developed.
One of the ideas is to replace TVP with another broadcaster, which will cause problems with Poland's participation in Eurovision 2024 and the EBU. Deputy Polish Sejm (i.e. the lower house of parliament) Borys Budka came up with an idea: https://www.money.pl/gospodarka/poz...zwazamy-powiedze-nazwy-6959077501499904a.html
If the idea comes to fruition, the entity that comes under TVP will have to join the EBU again, which will bring history full circle after 30 years.
I think that the idea may be implemented in the winter due to the complicated situation after the parliamentary elections in Poland, where the winning party obtained only 194 seats out of 460, which means it cannot form a government because it requires 231 seats. The current opposition has the majority and it is they who have confirmed the formation of the government, although the current ruling party is not giving up.
The reason for the name change is said to be the damage caused to both TVP and Polskie Radio by the current ruling party over the last 8 years.

There's no real problem here, a quick internal selection and we're done. xcoffee

We might have a diva battle of the century...
It is well known that Justyna Steczkowska raised her interest in participating in Eurovision 2024. Her song is ready!
However... Edyta Gorniak might be considering taking part in pre-selections too. She released an instagram video where she mentions, how difficult it is to work on 3 minute long song... Yeah, I think it was a nod to ESC fans.

Now I really want to see Justyna in ESC. Thats been my dream for so long and I really thought that such idea will remain in the realm of my fantasies... But it is happening  Now question only is what song she has for us... She described it as a "bomb" meaning it must be something great. Song apparently features orchestra, choir and strong beat.
Excited!

Luna is much more interesting tbh and has much more potential than these two imo.

I intuitively knew it that from the moment we learned of Justyna's participation, it was only a matter of time until Edyta would declare her interest too. :p

Firstly, "new" TVP should sort out things from 2023 NF.
Oh yes.

Well, at least we can hope we won't get more Brzozowskis and other similar types.

Probably, because she clearly belongs to the political faction of the new opposition.
But I don't know anything for sure, I stopped watching Polish TV years ago.

Aneta Wozniak (TVP programme office) already got sacked.
She was part of the jury 2023.

Complaint made by OGAE Poland was submitted to Sąd Administracyjny (Administrative Court), it's still considered.

I would like them to say "sorry, "previous" TVP fucked up so badly, we will start again", but it won't happen.

Do you mean the complaint concerning the selection process?

I think that Eurovision is the last thing to think about for TVP those days.

Of course, it is very good that eventually this is not a former-government propaganda channel anymore, but...
TVP Info, the main news channel, is just off. There were no news on TVP1/TVP2 through last almost 2 days. Now there are two different teams (old one that still runs e.g. TVP Info's X account vs new one that is responsible for the new TV news services but they need to broadcast from backup studios... the main one is still in charge of the old people etc etc etc). Huge mess in TVP offices right now.

And new goverment is about to cut off big part of the money for next year's TVP's budget.

For those who want to know more:

I hope we will not withdraw. But probably this will be a last-minute decision.
On the other hand... there are still more than 2 months to make a final decision, so maybe the situation will call down in January.

Or we just could send Bejba once again.
xd
