It's a nice song and good studio production but I can't see this working live.

Gives me Jana Burčeska, Dilja and Svala vibes. We all know where their entries ended.

I sadly won't support my country this year. I liked a lot Ochman for instance but this is just bland. Bland and with no replay value, as you won't find anything new in it upon relistening. Like a sterile, soulless brand of modern pop song. I feel for Justyna Steczkowska, I considered her song overrated but I'd gladly have Justyna instead, at least it wasn't beige and I'm not entirely convinced how well Luna can sing live unlike with Justyna. But this song is mostly devoided of difficult notes so she should handle that.

Okay, I must admit I am surprised by your reactions, but in a positive way of course. I still cannot even force myself to listen to the song once again, though. And I have noticed something:

Poland: xwall
The rest of Europe: good choice, decent, earworm, a solid 8, I love it, I enjoy it, pretty... etc.

The rest of Europe: well, a lot of people have super basic taste in music and are easy to satisfy. And more negative comments are less likely to get upvoted and people unless something is truly bad are more likely to leave some positive comment.

me: okeish song while it lasts, however it's flat and on the same note for the whole duration, there is no hook and I can't remember it after it's over
people: earworm

Me too, lol. I mean the chorus got into my head but calling this song of them all an "earworm" is a stretch I think. X-my heart of Azerbaijan was a real earworm OTOH and I have to admit that even though I wasn't a fan of that entry either.

I quite like the song. Trying to be like Aurora but maybe not quite as good. I have no idea who any of these artists are so reading the disappointment in the comments is quite amusing. Not going to win but I prefer it to the other radio friendly pop songs that we have heard so far (Germany/Denmark/Belgium).

Who wants to bet the staging will involve a chess board and a rook (tower) chess piece?

Poland is quite a bit better than lame Germany (sorry neighbours!) but I like it much less than Denmark or Belgium, especially Belgium.

It's because polish fans are always too harsh with their selected artist. Look, I know it's not polish people choice, but I'm Italian and Angelina wasn't Italian public's choice this year, Mahmood wasn't Italian public's choice in 2019, Diodato wasn't in 2020, Måneskin nearly wasn't in 2021. Do you think we Italians care that much? Juries are not Always wrong and in this case, if I was a juror, I would have given It lots of points myself.

The point is, if something is good, I don't actually care who chose it. "The Tower" is in my opinion great: I love the song's meaning and the lyrics are good and smartly pur together, they deliver very well the message, I think Luna is a more than capable performer, I'd like a good and cute little synth pop in Eurovision (because I like it as a genre in general), I already found myself singing along to that chorus even when I'm not listening to it and I love the concept of the video too. I think that's enough to make me rate this high.

A lot of people won't like it, a lot of people will, that's part of the game. I'm on the latter category. It's a matter of taste: while some people salivated around Slomo, Unicorn and Fuego, I'm not the best fan of dancing numbers, but I can see why they are successful. I prefer structured song and I have lots of favourites that nobody, I think, has. For example, I loved "Pali Sie", which imo definitely deserved to qualify while I'm not that into "My Slowianie".

Sure getting a lot of views on Youtube for a song that is getting so much hate. 1.1m on the ESC channel in a couple of days.

3rd most viewed video on ESC channel after the Ukraine and Spain national final videos (both on 1.7m but they have been up on the ESC channel for 2+ weeks).

I think I was happier not knowing the rumour that Jesien - Tancuj won the initial jury votes.
My profile pic did not manifest hard enough...
Having said that, Luna is not a bad choice. As long she can perform it well, it should do fine.

This has an unbelievably catchy hook as a chorus - it was rotating in my brain when I woke up this morning.

But dear lord, what on Earth is up with the cursive singing trend - sounding like you're underwater is never a good vibe regardless of how catchy your song is.

:6: for now, with a vocal in a clearer style this would be hovering around my Top 5 for now. Maybe I'll get used to her voice by May, but this type of singing has just never been my bag.

The style of the video just doesn't match the song at all, imo.

It's not a particularly good synthpop song though IMHO.

nobody from the 5 people jury has given 8,9 or 10 points for the ethno masterpiece jesien - tancuj - so this jury was not a real expertjury! xcookie
i think "the tower" is fine but the ethnobanger would have been the jackpot.
and sorry folks witch-er is a very average popsong, really no idea about this hype.

Poland's Youtube share in the world is twice bigger than ours or Spain's, so no wonder.
We had Teresa & Maria streams scattered among 4 (!) official videos :), she has 2.
+ we broke Youtube. All Vidbir videos had their 2nd, 3rd and 4th day streams annulled.
++ it would be as fair as if you compare it to our lyric & pic videos which had 2 million and 1 million views per day after Vidbir.

The problem with Tancuj which won the first vote is the supposed lead singer Kayah was not going to be available in May due to concerts so that forced a re-vote after that info was known.

Well, a lot of people think otherwise... It's not the best synth pop song I ever listened myself, but It is still a good artsy synth pop song... And as I said, lots of criticism about this song come from Poland, others are not really complaining about this being in the lineup at all and in Eurovision this is the important thing, since you can't vote for your country, just saying.

Given the ensemble aspect of the song, Kayah's vocals aren't actually that prominent in the song, since groups like Dagadana and Laboratorium Piesni also contributed to the song. You can easily pick 6 members from either group to perform without needing Kayah (as long as she is OK with the arrangement).
