I agree with that when it comes to ALL entries, I don't like to write hate comments, I just write if I love something. I don't like to be rude and disrespectful towards hard work of all those artists, even if the song is really bad. I also don't understand why people are going to videos on Youtube of some song they can't stand just to write rude, mean words. I find it all childish just! Like you DO IT better if you can, instead of doing nothing in your life and just writing awful comments.

Absolutely agree with what you both said. But I think it is okay to express disappointment about a song as long as you explain what makes you not like it. For myself, I can say that I do so in this forum. Even about the song I like least this year (San Marino that is) I can't say I hate it, I just dislike it. Hate is a too strong word and sometimes People want to hurt feelings, but that is something one shouldn't do. Or when you laugh at an entry. It's disrespectful. As you said, the artists work for it and shouldn't be treated in a wrong way. It's better to Support the Songs you love instead of writing hateful Statements about Songs you don't like.

The bolded part is the main point, I like the way you are thinking and I agree with everything you've said. I just don't appreciate hate without reason, and I see lot of examples for that this year.

'Light Me Up' for the 3rd week in a row is the most played song on polish radios xheart
Because it is indeed a cool summer radio-friendly song.. Written with no ESC in mind.. but many eurofans seem to have a little sense of contemporary music.

Nice said, really, I don't know why are eurofans against contemporary music so much, I personally, like Poland and Sweden, because these songs could put me in good mood anytime I feel down, I like them because they are not typical ESC pretentious songs. :D Not all songs should be tough, sad and smart, to be considered good, even fast, rhytmic songs and feel good songs should be appreciated. :)

I feel pity for people who have nothing else to do and come to threads just to hate on songs or just stated they hate it, their life must be really boring.

Versus:

This is not my cup of tea at. Can you please tell me what do you see in this? I just even can't anything nice here. Her vocie? She sing opera so it has to be great, so I don't judge. Looking at our recent opera songs, it's just the worst one. Cezar was so great, it was a new, modern opera with a bit of a dancable bits. Il Volo. Can you even describe Grande Amore? La Forza for me is the only unlistenable song this year. Can't see where the hype is. If this wins Eurovison, then it will be worst winner ever. Very undeserved.

I really thought you can't do worse than Moldova this year... This will be my dead last position in my ranking when I make one. Probably, I will listen to this again when I'll be cutting the clips for my video and then again in Lisbon.

This is the worst entry from Israel. Israel is one of my favourite countries in ESC. It has been in my top 10 since 2014. But with a big regret I have give this a big zero. I hope juries will kill it in the semi.

Serbia really surprised me. I thought you cannot do worse thn Belarus this year. I don't have words to decribe this song. It's the worst entry from Serbie ever and currectny dead last in my personal ranking.

She left negative comment about a song once . She doesn't write the same hateful comments over and over every second day unlike some people (I won't put nicknames here).

Yes, maybe I didn't put thing crearly, I apologize. I only write my opinion once and do not write any more hate, I said that once somewhere, it's such a shame you did 't find that post. Writing hate comments all over everyday is something I wanted to point out, as those people really do not have nothing else to do with their lives. Or spy on people and read everything they write.

Just because something is contemporary and radio-friendly doesn't mean it's good. Light Me Up is one of the blandest tracks this year. The production is nothing new: it's been done thousands of times. The only saving grace is Lukas and even he struggles with his vocals. Not to mention him sticking out like a sore thumb with his punk/rock look.
On the other hand we have entries like Belgium, Macedonia, Bulgaria or Portugal - all of them are contemporary and radio-friendly, but what sets them apart from Poland is that they're simply interesting, fantastically produced and sung, quality music.
I know for a fact that my country can do so much better. We have a lot to offer. So many talented artists here and I'm not talking about the established ones. Maybe next year?

Well, saying that 'Light Me Up' is not well produced shows you have no idea about music. How is Portugal current? You must have mistaken countries.

God damn it, instantly throwing shit at everyone who doesn't like the song? Putting words in their mouths? He didn't say it's badly produced, he said it's nothing new.. And he's right about something else too: Lukas can't sing the song properly.
Come on, you're the one to say "Writing hate comments all over everyday is something I wanted to point out, as those people really do not have nothing else to do with their lives.". Do you? There's no need to be the guardian of "Light me up" on this forum and act like Mirela fans last year in Spanish selections. Dude, chill.

Eurovision is a competition so you have to be ready to hear negative opinions!
Poland this year has one of the worst songs. It does not deserve to qualify but i believe it will!

Always love how people compare different genres to criticise songs or to try to justify why they don't like them. Makes just as much sense as comparing Jamie Cullum to Michael Jackson.

Ok it has some flaws, everything about it could be better. But we gotta start from somewhere. We needed something fresh, and if there was any song which was fresh (in KE) that was the one. And I agree that comparing Portugal and let's say Belgium to Poland is pointless. Go compare Albania with Czech Republic or Lithuania with Moldova then, because it is as pointless as this is.

+ Gromee posted on InstaStories a screenshot from Russian radio Europa Plus and it looks like they play "Light Me Up" in Russia as well. I checked on TopHit.ru and discovered that his previous songs got some airplay in there. It's not very popular, but still: https://tophit.ru/ru/search?str=gromee

For debut position of "Light Me Up" in Russian Airplay we need to wait for a while.

Someone posted on en.wiki that "Light Me Up" is #44 on Slovakia's Airplay Top 100, but I can't see current chart. In references on LMU wiki page we have link to older charts and editor added a note "insert 201816 into search.", but I can't do it manually on that page, so I am not sure if this is true. Do we have any friend from Slovenia to confirm that? ;)

And remember that radio stations in Lithuania play our entry too. It's quite nice!
