It's pleasant but I wouldn't actively try to listen to it more than once.

I'm not entirely sold on the live performance and it sounds like many other EDM songs, but it's pretty fun, I give you that Poland. 7 points for now xheya

The verses are quite good but the pop drop is the weakest element of this song imo sounds a bit lazy. The vocals seem fine to me ;)

They need to think of an interesting way to stage this because for now it looks too static, but I see a lot of potential in this as it will probably the only song of this style in Lisbon.

7 points in the poll and good luck Poland!

"Light me up, light me up, now baby"

I have problems with lyrics like this, sounds so lazy and reminds me of other pop songs
I don't understand the story behind the song, I don't understand some words he's saying
Music could be better, but now this will reach Top 20 at most.

There are parts of this song that I strongly dislike, but I love the subtle house-y bass in the drop. 4 points overall I think.

It's just another of thousands similar songs, same melody, same Oooh oooh ... perhaps ten or eight years ago I found it cool but right now I'm bored with that. As for the live performance, it was mediocre. Just for sounding "current" doesn't mean it's good, not for me at least. Meh.

The song isn't a stand-out but I really like it, especially the drop. However, it looks a bit of a confused mess on stage, the backing singers especially look as though they're drunk and got up for a go on the karaoke machine. So I give it 10 points, but staging should be improved.

THE GOOD:
-It's somewhat memorable.
-It's got good lyrics.

THE BAD:
-Call it me being tired of it, but I don't care for dubstep anymore.

THE VERDICT:
I believe that this song doesn't need the dubstep, because I bet that without it, it might sound slightly better. It's a decent song, nonetheless, but it could've been better. I'm not even sure this will qualify, however. 7 points

Finally we have actually current entry for this year's Eurovision, along with very few ones.

8 points, Poland! This song will grow on me probably.

Middle of the road song. Some parts remind me of Norway 2017. I'll give it a few more listenings.

Is it complete impossible to convince TVP choosing "Without You" instead? Lukas said in the interview with Wiwi that Gromee sent in both this mediocre track and "Without You" and for some mysterious reason the tone-deaf people at TVP chose this over the more obvious choice xshrug

Now I don't believe by principle in changing an entry that was already chosen, but I'm 100% the outcome would be the same, heck they might have even scored higher with the NF jury if they went with "Without You", so I'd make an exception here (afterall it's the same act, it was also sent to the selection process, it was already known to the public and eligible according to the ESC rules). If Poland wants a good placing in ESC this year they better act quick, change the entry to "Without You", have Lukas take some vocal classes (he can sing, but he has too little power and the higher tones he can't handle... in fact "Without You" hasn't got those higher tones, and of course work on the staging... no airplaying a guitar for example... that just looks silly for this kind of song)... I know "Without You" is no original masterpiece, but it's far more efficient and catchy than "Light Me Up", stronger hook in general and not as flat as "Light Me Up"... with the right staging and strong vocals in Lisbon "Without You" could fight for a top spot... wheres "Light Me Up" would make mid-score in the final maximum.

2 points. Like Norway last year but much worse. If this is "current" music, then count me out.

That's exactly my thought when I saw their performance. I hope Ifi wants to take part next year too cause her 3 minutes were far more interesting than this shit.

Lukas through the whole performance was looking at one spot, almost like he was blind and had forgotten his glasses. 0 charisma.

lemme guess, you an alternative music fan? I thought such people listen to music like Ifi's more than the 'popular' one with the radio listeners.

Sigh.
As a Pole myself I think it's best if we just drop out of the contest for a good few years and come back once we realize that Eurovision has moved on from trashy, gimmicky songs to actual quality. Next.

Trashy, gimmicky? What a head scratcher of a post...

Not at all. I said before that Ifi could become our own Aminata if the song got a decent revamp. I don't listen to radio at all, but if I did I wouldn't mind if from time to time I'd hear there Love Injected or Love is Stronger. Also, I don't think they play Salvador's song in our radio at all.

Yeah, the moment when you realise your previous song is better than the whole 10 from this year.
