Re: POLAND 2018

Light Me Up is a typical radio friendly song. It's really a great song BUT tbh, i'm afraid this can't be as good in live version as the studio version. It's not the first time in ESC history that an amazing radio song such as Light Me Up fail to qualify and win her NF because of a worst live.

The best and typical example this year was Serena with her song Safari in Romania. This song was a bop in studio but the live version was bad (and the vocals terrible). It was a song for a Top 10, really loved by the fans but she was disappointing live and failed to qualify. Then, I hope for Gromee it will not have the same fate but it's always a possiblity. If the live version is good, it will be in Lisbon
Anyway, My favourite song remains Delirium from Isabell Otrebus and This song is a Top 10 material even Top 5.

I agree about the first part, "Without You" by Gromee would stand a much higher chance though, it's in the same style but still far better, more memorable hook ... but yeah it could potentially fail live...

...however if you say this could flop and then point out a potential top. 5 for Isabell then I'm confused... Isabell is an obvious case of NQ... in fact Poland has the only slight chance qualifying with Gromee or a complete revamp of Ifi Ude... Isabell to me is a very amateur produced standardized ballad with amateur singer... she stands no chance.

But Isabell has nothing to pull people in - no personality, sorry to say that but she's a little bit forbidding (that's why she got so little votes from public last year). Her song is just okay, but I think this is not enough. Probably she will have a good result but I can't see her as a winner. I don't know where she comes from... okay, she was in Polish "Got Talent", even in semi-final and then what? Warner Music Sweden signed a contract with her just to be a member of Krajowe Eliminacje? Does Swedish radio play her songs? Warner Music Poland sent her song to the radios last week, but no one plays it.

According to airplay only Gromee's "Light Me Up" has a good rotation for now and Polish version of Marta Gałuszewska's song.

I think Ifi Ude may be a dark horse next week. I would be brilliant to see her with amazing staging and performance. I think she's able to do it, even her lyric video is very well done.
I hope we will not send "Momentum", I'd be very classic choice of us. :}

There's something charming in Happy Prince's "Don't Let Go". I find it extremely listenable and sweet. Simple but touching. I think that's my favourite.

Gromee though is the one with the best chances for ESC. His song is strong and would bring to Eurovision an infecious summery party vibe. It's pretty good. Not usually my kind of thing but I get some enjoyment from it. The drop after the chorus is the best part. Could be a really promising Eurovision entry.

Isabell is a complete no name in Sweden, so she was in Poland's Got Talent? Well... as an artist she seems to be as interesting as watching paint dry on the wall... in other words no charisma what so ever... her talent is limited... vocals are just so so but the problem is how utterly generic her two attempts have been... there is no musical personality here... it sounds like demo versions to some left-over rejected ESC ballad from mid 00's xshrug She is from a Polish family living in Sweden right?

Well, I don't know, because I don't follow her "career", but probably yes, Otrębus is a Polish last name and she speaks Polish. I saw video on YT with her on "Mam Talent" and it was an live eposode, here it is:

And another one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KEs3SHVpYo

I don't watch "Mam Talent" so I found those videos a few days ago. I had no idea she participated in this.

She looks wrackful all the time.

Gosh... go to hell.

Gosh she's dreadful... my ears are bleeding... I rest my case

Everything about this girl screams "wannabe", the problem is she don't have the vocals, the stage presence, the charisma or the songs to back anything up... in particular the songs are utterly cliché, badly produced dated ballads without any personality xshrug

I think with Gromee's new modern entry Poland have a dark horse chance for the whole competition
