She has a bachelor degree in French, so my bet is that it's pretty good

I'm happy with the choice, I was expecting the worst really and got one of my favorite Swedish TV personalities and comedians instead.

But yeah, as I've wrote before I'm worried how her humor will be accepted in Europe...

Ugh, I'm not sure what to think. Most of the time she is painfully unfunny and she almost always takes it one step too far. She has delivered a few hilarious moments as host for Melodifestivalen and Guldbaggen, I admit, but I don't know how well this will translate to Eurovision and the English language.

But I'm willing to be proven wrong.

Edit; though I suppose, it could have been SVT's embarrassingly lame go-to guy Rickard Olsson, so I guess I should be happy.

I have the same worries about how her humor will translate internationally, but I think it'll be good.

Rickard Olsson would be a disaster

I read some of the reactions here in Sweden, most people seem to disagree but then again most people are idiot sheep... the fact that people would rather see Ana Gina (I will say no more on that) than Petra is disturbing...

But now Petra it is and I'm happy

Petraaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! It was either SDF or Mede for me! I would love Lynda Woodruff in the green room though! That way Europe will see that she's a character and that she said Azerjejeban on purpose during the voting last year!

Petra Mede is good enough.

I'm surprised that it hasn't occurred to people that maybe SDF declined a potential offer? I mean it's not as everyone wants to do this for different reasons (conflicting schedules for instance).

Yup, she was one of the best hosts (if not the best) for MF actually.

Actually, 2009 had the best internal acts that I can recall from MF. The Grotesco Russian parody act is a classic
