I like the idea with jurys but it feels like they are not professional, they just vote for their neighbors. I mean common, 62 points to Georgia last year? That is the evidence of jury being screwed up. But without the jury some results are really unfair.

Has anyone found a video of the results (1st semi) but without comments?

I think the juries knocked a few countries out and a few others in. But, I'm chocked that Belarus went through - this could not be a jury fav?
Is it because of all the ex-soviet countries in semi 1?
I also think the "block-division" in the semis are a bit strange. I mean 6 ex-soviet countires in semi one, three scandinavian in semi two... etc....
Or maybe this is just me being paranoid?

Or maybe people just love the belarussian entry, and 'm stupid...

yeah, hopefully. but there seems to be so many borderline entries in semi-1:
belarus, lithuania, belgium and estonia...

The Nordic gruope in ESC is Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Estonia .......therefore the are always 3 "nordic" in each semi....

A liftime supply of svinekød.

Crazy voting-idea: I think there should only be an Australian jury. Participating countries first announce their points normally (televotes only). Then the Australian jury gives 5 points to number 25, 10 points to number 24, 15 points to number 23,...., 120 points to their second-favorite, 125 to their favorite.

Pros:
-The jury is more objective. Harder to bribe, no neighbours to vote for.
-It's unlikely we know who the winner is before the last points have been awarded.
-The people of Europe get back most of the power.

I know neighbour-voting was a bigger problem before, but it's not like the juries are completely objective either. They are likely to favor a country for cultural/geographical/political reasons, and a bribed jury is far worse than Cypriots voting for Greece.

Just NO!

They could be easily bribed as the rest...

Keep Eurovision in Europe thank you...

I think the juries along with Björkman & Ola Sand should be kicked out of ESC and EBU...

Transparency and the voice of the people again!

Until the juries learned to respect this contest, they are a useless add...

That's very crazy and unreal idea...but I'm not sure how objective an Australian jury could be, there are a huge Greek,Macedonian, Italian and Croatian diaspora living there

Exxactly, to somehow think they'd be more objective? Nah... just more of the same...

The theme and using of butterflies were amazing, postcards were not boring at all.I watched all of them and enjoyed it.Especially Montenegro's was very sympathic.
The stage was a little bad.The lightning were good but that's all.
The voting was very cruel for Montenegro and Slovenia, also WHO THE FXCK GAVE ANY POINT TO BELARUS? WTF EUROPE?
The host was very charismatic.Even i can't speak,i understood that Petra's French were well.
So,i give 7 from 10 to that evening.

But some ex soviet countries don't have any ties except Russian colony living in their countries, i.e. Estonia is ex USSR but has nothing to do with Belarus...
However in the Balkan block they have close ties each other in everything: language, history, culture, diaspora, etc.

Same like Nordics, imo only Sweden, Denmark and Norway are "good friends" and even tough their 12 points are not sure for each other...like Sweden ignoring Denmark and Denmark ignoring Norway last year ...
Iceland and Finland are outsiders in that block, as they can be called Nordics bu no Vikings...

Whenever you meet someone from Finland that you don't know all you hear is '' 6-1! 6-1! ''

Haha hilarious!!! :D And what would the Danish bribe Björkman with? Kirsebaervin made from genuine Danish Stevnsbær?

Well I was thinking along the lines of money, also the fact that DR would be more likely to follow Bjorkman's ideas of a perfect Eurovision than, say, Ictimai or TVM or NOS.

Anyway we'll see after tonight sure.

Haha, no get real! The prospect of DR giving a money-bribe to Christer Björkman for him somehow "fixing" a Danish victory is just immensely ridiculous. Just a logical calculation proves how absurd such assumption is. How much do you think it would take for Christer Björkman to risk his honour, profession, his life's work and good name? What purpose could possibly motivate that kind of money? How on earth could he "fix" it? etc etc Not to mention the terrible insult this statement is for Emmelie and the Danish team.
