1. All Around The World: a real-world country is chosen by the host. All artists competing in this event must be from the chosen country. In the case of groups, the majority of people in the group must be from the country. The song can be in any language.

2. AATW type of Spinoff but with NSC nations

3. AI Cover Spinoff

4. Covers & Remixes 5: everyone has to send cover or remixed version of a song previously entered in the main contest, including the original versions of songs whose covers or remixes were entered in NSC.

5. Major/Minor: songs changed from major into minor key (and vice versa)

6. NSC ESC Classic: any entry from any year allowed

7. NSC NF

8. Oldies: tba, the host can decide the timeframe

Oooooh, well this is a pleasant surprise!
So basically there are two potential things in the way of me hosting; the first being that university has just restarted, the second being that I am currently laptopless. I should know by tomorrow if I'm able to re-access my laptop more conveniently, and also have a clear decision on whether or not Yaponesia will host (Right at this moment, I'm optimistic!)
In the meantime though, start casting your minds back to 2004, thinking of not just the music you liked, but the music you would have wanted to share in particular with random strangers on the internet (which is basically NSC now, but the key thing is applying this to your *current age -10* mindset, interesting no?). I guess it doesn't specifically have to be your thoughts from October. But it would be most fair to have a limit of things released before 2006? Feel free to discuss any questions when/if I open Confirmation!

So bad news, I don't think I'll be able to host ;_; Can anyone else?
If you're interested in taking up the one potential idea I had, it was to make banners in the style of a 12-year-old (i.e. Paint, WordArt, shitty stock images ) apologies if you still make banners like this aged 22.....

Oh, and yeah, the idea was to vote as you would now, though I guess it could be a bonus interest to see how you think you would've voted

20 years ago would be much more interesting for me. The things I loved and listened to as a 20 year old, I still love and listen to now at 30.

I think that there are around 5 nsc players who had any sort of musical taste 20 years ago.

I suppose you could join with a song you loved 20 years ago, it wouldn't be against he spirit of the spin off

The Ice Bucket Challenge spinoff only had a grand total of 1 submission though. So I wouldn't exactly count it as an ongoing event. :'D
