1. All Around The World: a real-world country is chosen by the host. All artists competing in this event must be from the chosen country. In the case of groups, the majority of people in the group must be from the country. The song can be in any language.

2. AATW type of Spinoff but with NSC nations

3. AI Cover Spinoff

4. Covers & Remixes 5: everyone has to send cover or remixed version of a song previously entered in the main contest, including the original versions of songs whose covers or remixes were entered in NSC.

5. Major/Minor: songs changed from major into minor key (and vice versa)

6. NSC ESC Classic: any entry from any year allowed

7. NSC NF

8. Oldies: tba, the host can decide the timeframe

Send a song the younger you would've sent if NSC existed in October 2004.
(can replace with other date etc)

Chain
The entries of this spinoff basically have to form a chain. After a random draw is made out of the contestants, the entries (that somehow have to be connected to each other) are gradually chosen.

For example the chain could look like this:
1. Reym-L-Dneurb: Lana del Rey - Born to Die
2. Calypso: Lady Gaga - Born This Way (because both have "born" in their titles)
3. Roseland: RotFront - Gay, Gypsy and Jew (similar message in both songs)
4. Yaaayland: Tryo - Greenwashing (both have an animated video)
etc.

After the entries are chosen the voting takes place as usual.

Black music is a term encompassing music produced or inspired by black people, including Sub-Saharan African music traditions and African popular music as well as the music genres of African American music which arose in times of slavery (including black indians) that characterized the lives of black Americans prior to the American Civil War. Oooooh, well this is a pleasant surprise!
So basically there are two potential things in the way of me hosting; the first being that university has just restarted, the second being that I am currently laptopless. I should know by tomorrow if I'm able to re-access my laptop more conveniently, and also have a clear decision on whether or not Yaponesia will host (Right at this moment, I'm optimistic!)
In the meantime though, start casting your minds back to 2004, thinking of not just the music you liked, but the music you would have wanted to share in particular with random strangers on the internet (which is basically NSC now, but the key thing is applying this to your *current age -10* mindset, interesting no?). I guess it doesn't specifically have to be your thoughts from October. But it would be most fair to have a limit of things released before 2006? Feel free to discuss any questions when/if I open Confirmation!

I'm not able to take part in this. 10 years ago I listened to no music at all, since none of the music I was exposed to as a child was good/interesting.

But many people in NSC now don't even send music that's good or interesting.

Die Idee dahinter ist, dass man sich 10 Jahre zurückversetzt und sich vorstellt, dass es den NSC zu der Zeit schon gegeben hätte. Das heißt also, du versuchst, dich an 2004 zurückzuerinnern und überlegst, welche Musik du damals gehört hast und was du zum NSC geschickt hättest.

Hmmm... if i remember right, there were not that many differences 10 years ago, my taste was just not as wide as it is today ^^ But i cant remember that i've heard something i dont listen today. But maybe i will be surprised by myself? i have to go trough my music archive

Found out that 2004 is the perfect year... 2005 changed my music taste because of that i started using myspace to discover new music, more diversity ^^

2004 was a year, were i didnt have heard that much new music... in 2002/2003 i stopped my old way of finding music (randomly buying CDs on sales and resale the ones i didnt like on Ebay*) which had cost me so much of my time and didnt started a new way.... so i had probs of finding new music abroad the charts and in 2004 it ended in the maybe musicwise worst year of my youth since the awakening of my music taste in 1994/1995.

* Sounds expensive? ^^ It wasnt, i selled them often for more than i have payed for them But it was exhausting...
