COMPETING THEMES (177)

1. All Around The World: a real-world country is chosen by the host. All artists competing in this event must be from the chosen country. In the case of groups, the majority of people in the group must be from the country. The song can be in any language.

2. AATW type of Spinoff but with NSC nations

3. AI Cover Spinoff

4. Covers & Remixes 5: everyone has to send cover or remixed version of a song previously entered in the main contest, including the original versions of songs whose covers or remixes were entered in NSC.

5. Major/Minor: songs changed from major into minor key (and vice versa)

6. NSC ESC Classic: any entry from any year allowed

7. NSC NF

8. Oldies: tba, the host can decide the timeframe

So @strajker suggested this - can you tell us what exactly you had in mind?

Well, either NSCers doing the Ice Bucket Challenge or NSCers doing the ice bucket challenge / or if they don't want send a video of someone doing it and we vote for that as in best/most creative video or sth

The Ice Bucket Challenge is one of the things that confirm my opinion about facebook being a waste of brain cells. Right next to neknominating.

Hmm... I think it would be a really boring spinoff with challenge videos of others but we'd probably get that many participants in that case...

The new spinoff poll is up now! You can only vote for one or two suggestions this time.

I'd like to specify something regarding the Genres/Folk spinoff this time since they're often both suggested:

Genres 2 would be a new recurring spinoff as follow-up to the Folk one we've previously had. The winner of the Folk spinoff would get to choose the a new genre (and host).
Folk/Ethnic 2 would simply be another Folk spinoff without any change of genre.
