COMPETING THEMES (177)

1. All Around The World: a real-world country is chosen by the host. All artists competing in this event must be from the chosen country. In the case of groups, the majority of people in the group must be from the country. The song can be in any language.

2. AATW type of Spinoff but with NSC nations

3. AI Cover Spinoff

4. Covers & Remixes 5: everyone has to send cover or remixed version of a song previously entered in the main contest, including the original versions of songs whose covers or remixes were entered in NSC.

5. Major/Minor: songs changed from major into minor key (and vice versa)

6. NSC ESC Classic: any entry from any year allowed

7. NSC NF

8. Oldies: tba, the host can decide the timeframe

The winner of the contest should eventiually be the person who can pick the song which would get the most similiar set of votes compared to the random votes posted by the host (Y)

The new poll is up! We received 12 suggestions (sorry AntiAtom, I pointed out that we'll only have new spinoff ideas this time but you can suggest Folk again next time!). You can vote for up to three suggestions.

Here's the list with explanations (if necessary):

You try to win the spinoff (aka scorewhoring) regardless of your personal opinion about your entry

Non-numbers-based "voting" system

Word
Songs/Song titles have to contain a certain word

Doire appreciation

Chain
The entries of this spinoff basically have to form a chain. After a random draw is made out of the contestants, the entries (that somehow have to be connected to each other) are gradually chosen.

For example the chain could look like this:
1. Reym-L-Dneurb: Lana del Rey - Born to Die
2. Calypso: Lady Gaga - Born This Way (because both have "born" in their titles)
3. Roseland: RotFront - Gay, Gypsy and Jew (similar message in both songs)
4. Yaaayland: Tryo - Greenwashing (both have an animated video)
etc.

After the entries are chosen the voting takes place as usual.

ESC artists

Reverse
The host posts the results, from the final scoreboard to the first one, then the show with the nations' entries is posted, after a week or so the host opens the confirmation topic, and finally people confirm the songs which were in the show.
