Also ::hal 114 and ::hal 210 :D And the self-made ::hal 136, which rivals Klein Four Group's nerdiness (without the singing skills), but is thankfully not on YouTube

I never found one as good as Finite Simple Group (of Order Two) though...

I wasn't going to enter this edition, but this theme makes me consider ending my break early

Well, as you have already realized, the theme has not been chosen by chance and ahead everyone will have to show their wit and use their knowledge to determine the finalists. And now, as preparation for future challenges, we suggest that all participants get themselves some bonuses for future semifinals. So... xLO

Do I get bonus points for actually being good at maths at school?

bonus №1
The first person to correctly solve this problem will be able to choose a semifinal number (1 or 2) for their nation!

We need to arrange the four nines so that we end up with a sum of 100.
You can use any math signs you want.
Quite a simple task, you can do it quickly.

That's right! xacademic The bonus is yours.

bonus #2
The ability to choose either the first or second half of any semifinal!

You have to arrange the seven digits so that the sum total is 100.

Here you can use only one sign (+-x÷) several times. And don't peek!

17 + 36 + 45 + 2

But your option is fine too. :) The bonus is yours!

bonus #3
You get to choose the number for your entry in the first semi-final!

A breeder bought 30 birds for the nursery for 30 coins. The partridges cost 3 coins each, the pigeons 2 coins each, and a pair of sparrows 1 coins each. How many birds of each species were purchased?

There are multiple solutions if some birds have 0 pieces. But the most important thing is don't buy, adopt.

What about those people who do not live on the forum? ??

I call a community vote in the private forum!!!!

22 Sparrows = 11 coins
5 Pigeons = 10 coins
3 Partridges = 9 coins

30 birds = 30 coins
That's right! (y) The bonus is yours!

bonus #4
You get to choose the number for your entry in the second semi-final!

A tennis racket and a ball together cost 1 dollar and 10 cents. The racket is more expensive than the ball by 1 dollar. How much is the ball worth?
