I'm glad they're back and here to stay after getting an absolutely fantastic score - Who would have thought Tali ended up #13 (and even #5 in the semi based on televoting alone?).

Some fans online were already afraid of Luxembourg withdrawing again after "experiencing DiVision Song Contest".
To be fair, it was a chaotic edition but the Grand Final went smoothly and looked fierce.

I just hope that they will be a bit more "self-confident" and let acts compete with their own songs in a NF (if there will be another one).

Whilst I wasn't the biggest fan of their song this year I am happy to see that Luxembourg is coming back next year.

Not surprised that they will be back, but I think (hope!!!) RTL will have to reconsider how they work and maybe change a few members of their 'Eurovision team'… I'm pretty sure the Luxembourgish state won't continue to financially support RTL Luxembourg (which is not a public broadcaster) for their Eurovision adventure if they cock up as much as they did this year.
Everything considered, they were super lucky with Tali despite them treating her like shit.

(other than that - super psyched by the 13th place - so unexpected 🥳)

The songwriting camp apparently wasn't very successful. Maybe those who sent in songs last year and those who were denied to participate with their own songs weren't keen on attending (and having to pay quite a lot to participate in the camp too)…
Last news from RTL is that 60 artists have sent in songs this year - a big downer from last year's 459 songs!!
It's a pity that RTL didn't learn anything from all that went wrong last year and also seem to be going forward with the same team (including the catastrophic HoD) :( They were lucky with Tali (and really lucky she's never said anything about how they treated her behind the scenes). They probably won't be as lucky this year.
Still, I'm hoping for a miracle…

(didn't want to appear so negative… I was so happy last year with the comeback, and now I'm disillusioned :cautious:)

Well,

first of all, it was obvious for the drop to happen because you returned last year.
then, as you said this year 60 artists applied, and I've read around 150 songs.
Last year many of the songs that arrived had no artists attached to them, this year this wasn't allowed.

Needless to say though,

Luxembourg would be better off with an internal selection,

countries like Luxembourg, San Marino and Montenegro have no business doing national finals with such limited music industries.

I actually enjoyed last years NF. So… I tend to disagree with you on that.
