30/70 system would exclude dyaspora, but wouldn't take effect on televoting results. That's enough.

Sorry but then jury wouldn't take out any diaspora. The televoters will have too much power.

Oh, really? And with 50% they will?
If jury will hold 50% than televoting is not necessary at all.

Why not?? Because the juries wanted another winner?? What about 2011. Televoting won ahead of the juries. It's 50/50. It's most fair.

Maybe next year televoting will win ahead of Juries again? We know they can disagree with the winner. But it doesn't mean it's unfair.

Ok, most jurors are past contestants of the Voice, X'factor, Star Factory, etc. Clearly they are very professional

Yeah because you are more professional than them right??

So let me guess: you think all winners before 1997 are crappy?

Ok, I am not professional now. If I will go to X Factor and win 3d place, will it make me a superprofessional?

As for your 2nd question I didnt say it. But if you look now most winners have failed to gain success, when songs like Volare became super popular. Make your own conclusions.

Ok, how can i explain to you so you can understand: ESC is a European contest when Europe (millions of people) decides who is the best! And jury is there to comment things from the profesional angle, nothing more. But when you put peoples will in the mud , revolt is always going to be expressed! So Europe, cut the juries participation, or exclude the people!

Great ESC Final Show, Austria - really enjoyed it!

Many Congrats, dear neighbours, :se: Sweden - with victory! xcheer

My favourites (ranked) after the ESC Final were: 1. :es: 2. :it: 3. :gr: 4. :se: 5. :me: 6. :ru: 7. :fr: 8.

Some post-Final thoughts:

- :es:, scandalously underrated! It is truly sad that this great musical country far too often is underappreciated in this music contest. It makes we wonder when a Spanish song is going to be successful in the ESC when this excellent entry with a beautiful, accomplished (vocals/stage performing) singer does so badly. Shame on you, Europe! ;)

-, congrats Debrah & Kjetil - gratulerer - with a great 8th place, truly happy for them! xrose

- :it: Glad to see them doing so well! :ru: Thought you might win, but well done with a great 2nd place! :gr::me::fr: Enjoyed these songs/performances too, think they were all three underrated.

- I see, moreover, that there is a discussion going regarding voting in the ESC, reg. jury-votes and televoting. Personally I think a 50% split vote between juries and televoting is a prudent, 'balanced' solution for the contest, but I can see both sides of the argument.

Already looking forward to next year's ESC in Sweden!

Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

I can agree with most parts. Juries are indeed needed and they did some good decisions but also some really bad... Poland was one of the bad decisions for me.
Maybe one could change the structure of the juries or reduce their power.

There will always be great and poor decisions from both jury and televote.
I just see no reason to bash the juries when nobody is bashing the televoters that done wrong on multiple occasions as well.

Well, that's your opinion. Most of Europe don't share your opinion obviously!
Mine is that SONGS LIKE THAT are epic!
And I agree, jury should stay, but with limitation on 30:70.

The song is basically a "Caruso" rip off wrapped in "pop" to make it more viewers-friendly.
I know many people say "Heroes" is a "Lovers on the sun" rip-off but i struggle to find similar note sequence in these while i find a lot in the italian song and "Caruso". Yeah, it's sang by cute boys...well, 2 cute boys...wait, just one cute boy lol But it's old. Very old.
Eurovision was infamous for being a relic contest of relic music nobody cared for before Loreen came. I want it to be up to date, i want it to be modern. Songs like "Grande amore" don't help, songs like "Heroes", "Rhythm Inside" and "Love Injected" do. End of story.
People who don't care for Eurovision will only know the winner in the end. The contest doesn't need winners like Il Volo.
It's good for them to finish 3d, yes we know people still appreciate music like that, let's move on, it's not 1970.

AMEN!!!!!!!! The best post ever. Thank you!

You're so welcome!!! xyaayI'm gonna repeat all that over and over again until bitter Il Volo fans calm down lol

Eurovision needs songs like :lv: and :be:, that's for sure. :se: definitely not, not because of the song (I like it), but we have this kind of songs since 8 years at least, so we don't "need" them, we already have them, it's not a novelty act at the Eurovision. Il Volo fans have to calm down, but Heroes fans have not to think we are in front of the new Michael Jackson of the music.

I cannot remember any song similar to "Heroes" from the past 8 years, refresh my memory, please?
It's not oh so original, no, but it's up to date.

Ok... so we haven't got any pop-dance songs like this in the Eurovision, sure. A Don Quixote against the windmills mess.

I definitely must use the gif of the """""funny""""" german user:

I asked for an example of a song sounding similar to Heroes from the past 8 years of the Eurovision song contest.

A "Caruso" .... no way!

I just see no reason to bash the juries when nobody is bashing the televoters that done wrong on multiple occasions as well.

It's EBU's product and those guys may have to think twice
before another televoting favorite end up as the 6th on juries voting table.

Or else let them decide for the winner and NOT EXPECT money from the viewers.....

U R kidding, dont ya?

Eurovision song contest would have been lucky to have a similar to Caruso song EVER!
And certainly "Grande amore" was not that great!
