They are both exceedingly attractive people with a fabulous song. I do hope they can qualify!

I really like this song. xlove I liked it right away when I heard it and since then I have only come to like it even more. I'm afraid this is another song that I love but the others don't (like Georgia last year). I hope it will qualify though. It's just such a happy song and makes me feel love, too!

I couldn't agree more! Here's hoping for qualification! :D

So then let them complain xshrug

Between pandering stuff like this, special treatment, and the large amount of pride flags in the audience (which probably eclipsed last years count from the look of it!) their taking over the contest and taking ESC further away from the general public and its getting worse every passing year. Its NOT a pride event!

1. I did not see any gay complaints before.
2. LGBTI community should complain now, because they are treated like idiots. Maybe there are some idiots who will fall for such a tacky and fake move, but I doubt it.

This has really gone down in my estimation since the dress rehearsal, I didnt like the staging/performance at all. I give it 10 points now (though I think it probably deserves 8 really) :(

I honestly don't see what the problem is. The competition attracts all sorts of people regardless of sexuality. I would not deny that there are a large number of LGBT chaps here ( *waves* ), but I don't think it's cheap or tacky to have such a move. Surely it's an irrelevance in this day and age whether it's a gay or straight kiss? I sincerely hope it is. If they're trying to win over a few LGBT votes, then what's up with that? There are no songs which appeal to everyone, so every single one tries to get support from its target audience. If this is a problem, well I really don't know how you could ever solve it!

And as for the actual kissing, well I'll wait until after I see what happens tomorrow night to come to proper judgement!

Seriously what's wrong in showing all kinds of love in a song that is supposed to be about love? :?

I've met Monika IRL. She's quite nice, actually, and I like the song, but, yeah, while it can come off as pandering, in an act from a country that is as homophobic as Lithuania, it's a small step :)

It still results in a lot of criticism when Lithuanian celebrities make supportive statements toward the LGBT community, so however frivolous it is (isn't the whole performance frivolous?) I don't think it's something they would have included if they didn't want to generate discussion back home and say something different than what most of Europe would expect from Lithuania.
