Oh, I imagined it quite different, to be honest, but it turned ok...I thought it would be more cultural, somewhere in Africa, with some Lion King vibes (I've watched too much Disney as a child). I don't even know how I feel about it.

I originally imagined it very different again with being theatrical and quite OTT....Aminata giving "Queen Of The Damned" vibes with being awoken from her 2,000 year slumber:D Wouldn't have worked on a shoestring budget though so I'm content with what we got.

It is one of those all aesthetic, no action videos, as others have said, but that's not unusual in ESC  I like it, though, it's very slick and beautiful, especially the solo shots of Aminata.

That is one hell of an erotic video.

Best video from all the participants, she is so flawless and her charisma shine through the screen.

First rehearsal looks great. The vocals, the dress, the lighting, the vulnerability in her voice when she sings "I know" (love that part), Aminata is killing it. xparty
All my faves looking good so far. xup

What I find a little problematic about the Latvian song: The chorus seems to be somewhat "disconnected" from the rest of the song. The beginning seems a little dull to me and then comes the big shout "Your love..." This might be vocally impressive but the rest of the song just does not stick in my mind.

Same here - I just want to like this, and I respect this for being so different but the chorus is disjointed - the pulsating verses promised something magnificent but whilst the chorus is indeed explosive, it just leaves me cold.

I'm not sure if I like Aminata's dress tbh. The way I see it, they should have gone for something simpler and more modern but still dramatic looking. Instead they chose this over complicated Barbie ball gown... I think it detracts from the performance.

When I first saw it backstage, I was just thinking "oh boy…this is…a thing?," but after seeing it on stage, I do really like the silhouette it creates.
