Some people here seem to have a hard time accepting some criticism and other people's opinions.
In this forum we exchange our points of view and I like that.
If someone else has a different musical taste, I just accept that and don't mock him with comments like "blablabla".
The last days I have listened to the Italian song more often than most others because I WANT to understand better why so many people like it.
So far I wasn't successful but that doesn't change the way I think about other users here in the forum.

Nobody cares if you dislike the song, you have the right to your opinion

But people are sick and tired of the France 2011 comparison when its pretty much been debunked a long time ago. Its been explained over and over yet people keep bringing it up. If Italy fails it will be for other reasons completely different.

OK, OK, I really didn't know that this had been brought up so often. To me it just seemed to fit in the current Italy discussion at the time. I apologize, if some people feel offended by that. xsorry

Please my friend, sometimes is not only about musical tastes, unfortunately. There are some users who come here and write the same things about our entry. Their presence here is only for bashing this entry. Everybody can have an opinion, it's obvious, but I think that we are smart enough to understand a comment, we don't need to write twice, three times the same things. This is annoying, seems like trolling.

I agree with you, but there are people coming here who are new to the discussion and know nothing about the comparison having been made too many times before. Not everyone could be here since december
I can sympathise it might get tiresome, it surely does, but being bla bla blad or vomited on really sounded nasty to me.

I think you're right. My behaviour (I talk only for myself) has been nasty and I won't do that anymore. I was honestly exasperated by different topics read here and my reaction has been impetuous

Nasty might have been a bit too strong as well. A litle bit cocky, perhaps?
Anyways, shall we all light a candle, to illuminate the night? Hopefully too that will provide extra help to ensure the Italian boys are not going to sing their song out of tune, like Amaury Vassili has done :D

There will be a meeting in Vienna on May 21 at EMI building :) I don't remember if any artist did something like this previously, but in any case sounds very interesting :)

You are all talking Vassili like he got the last place. He got the 15th.
If this one gets only 5 spots higher, it would reach the top ten and that would still be a great achievement.
Furthermore, Vassili was internally selected, while Il Volo have already passed a televote test once. So the chances are all in favour of Grande amore getting a better result than Sognu.

For somebody who lead most of the polls before the contest, a 15th place is quite disappointing, don't you agree? And 5 places are 5 places. That's what makes the difference between the top ten and "not in the top ten".
Besides, the parallels are to be found rather in the musical style, not in the way of the selection process. Conchita was selected internally and won, Trakshittaz were selected in a show and got last in their semi.

Thus sais, I do like the italian entry, but I simply think it will not be as high in the end as predictions, polls and betting odds may suggest today.

Yes, because it's outside the top ten. Were him within, I think he could have been quite satisfied.

Yes, but within the same musical style, one passed a televote test, the other one didn't; that's why Il volo are likely to get a better result than Vassilli.
Conchita and Trakshittaz sang two very different musical styles, so the comparison doesn't fit.

Agreed. My remark was not to compare the actual final place of Il Volo and Amaury, but rather to express my feeling, that - as Amaury - Il volo risk to stay behind expectations as proposed by polls and odds.
