This is my guilty pleasure song. I like it, I miss the time there were more songs like this. Just fun, enjoyable songs where you can dance. Even though it isn't the professional music, its just fun to listen and dance to it.

When I listened to it again today, I noticed that behind all the fun and party, the sadness underlying the song from the first verses is still present throughout the whole 3 minutes. Still it doesn't destroy the good feeling it conveys. Love that ambiguity! I become more and more a fan of this!

I still have that huge feeling that this could actually win.
The reason is because it is the only song in the competition (so far) that has this Eastern ethnic melody, while other songs sound pretty much westernized and americanized. The chances are even bigger since there are many ballads in the competition.
Finally - the lyrics. They sound silly, and that is exactly what is going to attract the attention of many people (plus the charismatic performer).
Is this the best song? Not in my opinion. But lately it is not about the best song, but about the whole package + attracting the attention in order to pull a win.
And I feel that this one has it!

This is the catchiest song of the year. I do like it. I almost have no doubt about it qualifying. If Solayoh can make it to the final, this definitely will!

It might not be a masterpiece but it's probably the only uptempo song this year + it's pretty great.
Well I don't expect it to do well tbhjudging last year they didn't qualified though they were from the faves however it still could qualify

It's just the same as with the Swedish entry in 2011 (though I like Eric Saade far better!): The melody is actually quite alright, but the song is being totally destroyed by horrible lyrics.. I seldomly pay that much attention to lyrics, but in this case I simply can't seem to focus on anything else

Obviously you don't speak Hebrew nor know Israeli MUSIKA MIZRAHIT
If you think these lyrics are the new bottom of the ESC-lyricism, then don't learn Hebrew nor try to listen to Israeli shlagers by Sarit Hadad, Lior Narkis and so on and so on
But I must admit, I do like Sarit Hadad's TELECH KAPARA ALAICH

This is so Suzy - Quero ser tua again. It's obviously cheap and not good, but somewhat enjoyable and colourful. I hope this has better luck than Suzy because we really need this to qualify and make the final more entertaining.

Barbie Girl was actually a song with message. They were making fun of Barbie-world-like people, imo. This song was like a forerunner for Pink's Stupid Girls - imo, the same category as Barbie Girl.
However, Golden Boy is not meant to be joke. It belongs to a specific genre that is super popular in Israel... But until this year's ESC, I've never heard such type of songs in English.
So, I agree with #ParadiseES that this is definitively not the same thing as Barbie
