I kinda understand that they tried "sex", I sometimes thought lets send half naked bimbo's. But the truth is, the more skin flashed, the less talent. She didn't need it and it probably worked against her.
Maybe it is my age, that I'm old fashioned, but I wish so that there still was an orchestra. Than the real talents would shine.

I like sex, and I don't want the orchestra back because then ESC would be again only flooded with dated ballads and it would totally kill musical diversity... and we're in the 10's now.

However, her dress didn't look appropriate indeed, but not because of the breast thing, but because it made her look like in the shape of a potato sack and combined with her make-up she didn't look even close to her age.

I can't explain it ... she has to be 1st or 2nd with the jury ...I mean with this voice and this wonderful song! What did the televoters do ?
I voted for her!

Biggest shocker of the night. I was convinced that the juries would just love her, I wonder what happened. It's her birthday today so I feel especially bad for her. Granted, it was never a favorite of mine but I expected a whole lot more....poor Israel....:(

I think you have to make the accent on your talents. If you have only a great body, put the accent there, if you are blessed with a great voice, focus on that.

I had it for instance the last time Chiara performed. She came to me as very kind and a great voice, but than she winked in the camera pretending to be a sexbomb and I thought yuk and she lost me. Sorry for being that superficial but that is how it sometimes works.

It's not cheesy and in English as Russia and Georgia, therefor the juries dismissed it enough for it to not make it...

If juries did not include Israel in their top-10, then i highly question their presence in ESC.

It is sad that every year some (much) country's feel that way. Seeing some country's always qualify no mather if they are good or bad. Feeling no matter how hard we try....

It would be really helpful if you can control your hatred for the juries and look at things a bit more rationally. The juries loved Harel Skaat which is the same style as Moran's song. They loved Albania last year which is anything but a cheesy ballad in English. Making these accusations are useless (and baseless) until we have the actual breakdown.

That's just two examples out of how many really?

And btw, the people also had Albania in their top. 10 so hardly a work of juries alone xshrug

And we never get the full split votes, how come? We only get a sum split vote of all country juries, which imo is a lack of transparency and very odd... and especially in this year where all countries would be ranked, it's even more crucial that the split votes by each country will be revealed...

The new voting system will give us a full insight into the voting. All votes will be revealed as per the EBU....broken down by country.

yes, these are two examples cause I don't want to go through the list of songs but if you need more: Serbia 2012, Serbia 2011 etc.

and we were talking about the juries, not sure why the televote outcome is relevant. Anyway, please don't make every topic about the evil juries or we need to start moving your post over to the appropriate thread.

They promised us a breakdown by each country this year? Well that's always a first...

As others have said we need to wait for the whole breakdown but frankly speaking this was always a typical fanwank for me. xshrug Her tacky styling put also her 'jury' chances over the edge I guess. I shall not miss it.

They never promised them, this year they actually announed it.
Any chance you have a link? This is exactly what I've been wanting to find out, but I hadn't actually heard anything about this, so I presumed they were going to keep it quiet...

Oh, I've never seen that announcement.

Well, that's the only good news this evening, because I always found it very fishy and non-transparent they revealed it until now... and with the new voting system it's a must that all split votes will be revealed.

Sorry Israeli entry fans, but this song was so boring during the performance. Israel was underrated in 2011 and 2012 but not at all in 2013.

Israel 2013 -- Makes me remember the naked guy in official video and there was a singer with huge boobs and glasses.

That's all.

Boring?! Moran's performance was exceptional!

I'm pretty sure Iceland, Norway and Finland were in jury's top5, along with Georgia and Azerbaijan. That is why those 3 all qualified and this one missed out. It had to be lower in the jury's vote (9th the highest).
