I knew Ireland would be the dark horse in the semi-final. Fair play Ireland and your best staging in Eurovision ever.

IF the rumor is true that the video was not allowed to be shown in Russia (and I don't know, if it's true), I wonder what they'll do on Saturday.

It was embarrassing..? I don't think so, it was really classy and non-offensive.
And you had Cyprus just right after gays.

The dance itself was kind of cute. But I find it embarassing to use these kind of methods to get votes lol

What changed? I am very very curious.

Dont know, it reminded me of a Ronan Keating Song from the 90s somehow. And although im not gay, I liked the Performance somehow.

You get these rumours every year but they never turn out true.

Great song, great vocals. But I guess no shaking butts is a no-no for some?

Well, our commentator said it and he's normally very well informed and quite cautious when it comes to rumors. Sometimes the dismissing of rumors is the fake part of the story.... But still, I don't know for sure.

Ireland I believe passed because of the "gimmick" (I wish I didn't have to call it as such but in this current climate it is). The audience and their wild screams as the two men appear on the bridge confirm that there are other powers at play besides the actual music, because Christ, the song is..... well, I don't even know what the song is. It's just there. At the very least I don't feel offended by it, and i'm happy to see Ireland back in the final, but it's annoying that it's at the expense of more deserving songs, cause that's what it should be about, the songs.

How can anyone think they qualified just because of the gay dancers. They qualified in spite of coping with prejudiced people. Job well done. It got my vote and could Spring a surprise in the final.

I am so happy they made it, what the fuck! :) The studio cut entered my top 10 as soon as it was released, but I also were confident that it was dead on arrival and hopeless to stage well in Lisbon, but it was up there second only to Israel for me tonight! Congratulations Ireland and welcome back! I've rarely enjoyed your entries in the past but for me this is a special one!

And now RTE will think they're doing something right :? It was by far the most uninteresting song of the semi to me, even Iceland was better than this.

I want a refund of the money I wasn't able to spend on great acts that failed to qualify because France votes in semi 2
