Well, our commentator said it and he's normally very well informed and quite cautious when it comes to rumors. Sometimes the dismissing of rumors is the fake part of the story.... But still, I don't know for sure.

Ireland I believe passed because of the "gimmick" (I wish I didn't have to call it as such but in this current climate it is). The audience and their wild screams as the two men appear on the bridge confirm that there are other powers at play besides the actual music, because Christ, the song is..... well, I don't even know what the song is. It's just there. At the very least I don't feel offended by it, and i'm happy to see Ireland back in the final, but it's annoying that it's at the expense of more deserving songs, cause that's what it should be about, the songs.

The studio cut entered my top 10 as soon as it was released, but I also were confident that it was dead on arrival and hopeless to stage well in Lisbon, but it was up there second only to Israel for me tonight!
