I mean even if it's not, with a second member of the delegation being tested positive even after they all took ectra PCR tests there's high likelihood more peple in the delegation have the virus and just haven't tested positive because the virus is still in the incubation period. So no, if this is true Iceland should not perform live, it would just go against every health and safety protocol.

Really terrible to hear this... Still, they've got their backup performance out of 2nd rehearsal, haven't they? I understood it was quite a perfectly finished product so that won't make any difference... That's what backup performances are for, I guess, in the times we are going through.
I still have high hopes for Iceland. Europe is in desperate need of their good humor, undeniable quality and delicious originality.

Really sad news
Since they will use the recording of the 2nd rehearsal, it shouldn't impact their chances - the rehearsal was great and people watching on TV won't notice.

It's a bummer, but their second rehearsal is good enough to qualify with. The only real issue is that the lights during the bridge were a bit awkward, but everything else was ready for esc.

I'm so sad, they just wanted to be on that stage with an audience and they can't even have that. This really ruined my day, I'm really heartbroken.

I don't think they care that much about their chances, they wanted the experience...
I hope they will at least make it to the finals and get their names out there.

OK, this is not good. I hope the rest of the band members didn't get the virus (especially Dadi's wife since she is pregnant).
I think their winning chances are diminished. Sad that they are not able to experience the full ESC experience, robbing of a chance to perform 'live' on the big stage. But wish them all the best and good health.

I think so too. Any chance they had at winning are gone... I even think Australia would have qualified if Montaigne would've performed live. The televote punishes stuff like that, sadly.

So sad on behalf of the group. Missed out last year because of the Covid cancellation, and now they'll be missing out on the actual experience of performing live because of the same damn disease.

I worry what this will do for their chances as they didn't have a live crowd to feed off on during their rehearsal taping, which was also evident in Montaigne's performance, and part of what I believe lost her points.
