We've been together for a decade now
Still look pretty, I'm lovin' you more
If I could do it all again
I'd probably do it all the same as before
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had had your love
I didn't become myself before I met you
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had felt your love
Everything about you I like

It started out so fast
Now we can take it slower
But it takes some time
Takes a little timе to take a little time
As it agеs like wine

How does she keep getting better?
Every day our love finds a new way to grow
The time we spent together
Hmm, simply feels good
We got a good thing going

And just when I thought that my heart was full
I found places that I never explored
You're so fascinating
And I can't remember the last time I was bored
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had had your love
I didn't become myself before I met you
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had felt your love
Everything about you I like

How does she keep getting better?
Every day our love finds a new way to grow (Finds a new way to grow)
The time we spent together
Hmm, feels good

How does she keep getting better?
Every day our love finds a new way to grow
The time we spent together
Hmm, simply feels good
We got a good thing going

Still not a fan of this, their entry last year was borderline top. 10 for me (although I "get" the appeal of that one), this however isn't a particular good track imo and I honestly think this would be a bad winner. But maybe in an open year like this anything could happen, but I just dread next year overflooded by quirky, try-hard-to-be-hipster-comical, entries... I'm not saying that this is a "joke entry" in that sense, because it's not, but I think it can be easily misunderstood as such by some viewers and broadcasters.

Also, I feel that the odds are a bit skewed toward western countries where most of the betting occur, and I think this entry is more appealing to western Europeans but I could be wrong, we'll see.
Exactly that.Market saw the massive red flags with Malta and wants to make up a challenger etc.The fan press went overboard claiming a win challenger.Like you say the odds are always skewed to the west. There is a whole Balkan and Eastern vote out there to get and i doubt much of that will be going to Iceland. They are talented guys, but the song is very average.

Yeah, I think the odds are often missing out on Eastern Europe but also Southern, which together has a big say in the contest.

I don't mind them, although I find them slightly a one-trick-pony tbh and this song in particular, meh...

I really feel it's about time eurovision gets a fun Lordi like winner again, something that's simultaneously bonkers and clever, light and meaningful, out of the box, deceptively cheap as it's so subtly professional, highly entertaining and above all musically sound and fresh.
There was never a year, what with everything that's been going on, more fit for humor, tastefully created, to take the trophy.
Of course I love France, and Switzerland, and Bulgaria, along with a few others. They are gorgeous songs very much worthy of being victorious any day, any year. Just not at this moment, not just now.
Europe has hardly ever needed a smile so badly in their recent history as the present and a big honest sweet smile is exactly what Iceland is serving on the stage.
No doubt it is my outright winner with no competition in sight. Hope the audiences next week shall feel the same and I'm pretty confident that they will.

But doesn't Netta fit this description? And it's only 3 years ago she won.

Netta is considered just "fireworks" by some, while "hipster-fun" is taken more seriously xshrug

I am personally all for a lighthearted entry to win and my own favorite this year is Russia that is probably the most quirky entry of them all, I just don't happen to like this particular entry by Iceland but each to their own of course.

Well, I wouldn't put Netta exactly in the same category, but reading what I wrote it may indeed be seen a litle in that light. I don't think however one could get the feel good factor in Netta's song that we can so fully bask on Dadi's.

You do get some ideas stuck in your mind, and you just have to air them on repeat à propos of nothing at all. I for one never understood why Netta's obvious depth was so often diminished. Besides, if they're fun, visually stimulating, creative and on top of all that help to tell a story, I'm all for fireworks. To tell you the truth even If they're just there and don't make any sense as it sometimes happens, I may be able to enjoy them 😄

Not exactly, when I first heard Netta's song, it was pure joy, fun and quirky. Despite the female empowerment message, it's still a feel-good song due to the melody arrangement of the song. A song that will make you want to get up and dance when you are having a bad day. I think people started to bash it when it became the hot favourite to win the contest.

I like the song but it's not one of my biggest favorite songs. About the rehearsals: The opening of the act looks just sensational. I would be very surprised if this song doesn't get 12 points from Sweden.

It holds back the good stuff, but that's fine. Iceland are banking on the element of surprise, which is how they won Söngvakeppnin last year.

Having seen everything, there are four countries that left an impression in the Press Centre after they rehearsed. Iceland is one of them. The other three are Ukraine, France and Italy. I would not be surprised if that ended up as our top four. (though I'd say Malta AND Switzerland reach the top five over Ukraine)

So yeah, now one in Icelands delegation is ill, not super surprising since Iceland and Poland share the same hotel. So it is just a matter of time then until Rafal and Dadi is tested positive then. Bye Reykjavik 2022 then. :( https://eurovision.tv/mediacentre/r...landic-delegation-tests-positive-for-covid-19

Oh dear. This is not good. Did the organisation do PCR tests for everyone that performs in semi 2 and the auto qualifiers since they did the rehearsal on the same day. They should do that since they are all in the same proximity.

That's what I feared. I had posted it yesterday somewhere that Iceland stays at the same Hotel as Poland. Oh man. Let's hope that everyone is safe. that's the most important thing. And even though I don't like Iceland's song, I hope that Dadi is okay and that he can perform.
