Sunday's performancexheat absolutely incredible! I got shivers as well. If this is picked, it would literally eat every single other song selected so far for breakfast. It's in another league. The one small thing i'd say would be to perhaps ditch the dancer. The song doesn't need her flapping about like a ballerina, it's distracting and doesn't enhance the piece in any kind of way.

Fjaðrir sounded great, but I wasn't impressed with the staging. The blue glow and white outfits seem a bit same-old as far as ESC visuals go, I would like something darker and more intimidating.

This was very predictable, I was sure that the qualifiers we're going to be 3 the four that qualified tonight and the fourth one would get the wildcard, I'm almost 100% happy about the finals, the 2nd semi really made the finals interesting. Hope the winner will be one of them, especially SUNDAY.

To our Icelandic members, what is the word on the ground? Does Sunday have a legit shot at winning this?

"Fjaðrir" has suddenly become my jam to the point where I think it's my favorite (although "Litil skref" is still up there).

Now that Regina's out, I would really go on with Sunday. I don't like any of the other entries. Plus, Iceland should present itself at the 60th ESC for what it's best known in the music scene, that is beautiful and strange experimental songs and vocals. I think it's time to let some "pop" apart.

Maria or Sunday are the best and I think both would do well in Vienna

They do, they have one of the biggest fanbase of the 7 songs, although, all of them are big, SUNDAY has a better shot than most of them :)

Can the finalists sing in English in the final?

No, but the can in the superfinal. The rule was at least last year that it would be performed in the language that they sing in the superfinal. Pollapönk got an exception because it was widely known that they were making a full english lyric for their song.

I wrote to Maria on fb :)

I did a similar thing with SUNDAY, I met with them when they went off stage and just opened up about my love for them and their entry. It was so cool because they were all in tears, they really want to win this and it showed. And personally knowing María, I know she does to :)

I only like the three qualifiers from Semi 1 so I'll be rooting for them. Well, the wildcard choice is decent as well but clearly won't win.

I seriously hope whoever Iceland chooses keeps their song in Icelandic when they go to Vienna, it's such a gorgeous and musical language, I just love it xlove
