Re: GREECE 2015

A bit disappointing that the country that usually gives us fun, catchy, summery songs with local flavour decides the year we are lacking such songs, to send a really standard ballad... but then really, what else was going to happen? She was wonderful and the others all cocked it up with poor vocals. I'm really sad for Thomai though. I would have taken her song happily, even with the dodgy vocals. She makes me smile.

I'm ok with the Greek song though. It's better than most of the other slow, beige© lullabies and dull mid tempo's we have thus far this year. It's not extraordinary though by any stretch of the imagination, but I now have an 8th song i'm happy to hear. Latvia/Slovenia could have had a new contender though for the number 1 spot on my list with Thomai. Guess it wasn't to be. Of the songs left that we know, I actually think only Karin Park has the power to become my new favourite.

Nobody does drama like the Greek still. Powerful, not bland or insipid at all. Good winner. And now a contender too given the weak competition this year. Well chosen :gr: !

and it also sounds a bit like "Rise like a Phoenix" imo xpuke

yes, I had also the impression, that there was something of a bond song in it. Not as clearly as in Rise like a phoenix, but still... Especially in the chorus.

Again, like many this year, it's nice enough, but its just so standard and has no impact.

With me, ballads are either very good, or very bad.
How many countries do we have left? How much hope can I have?

I seem to recall that song doing quite well last year. Not sure why the vomit emoticon?

Ok, now I think it's a great song, very powerful, and very diva-style.

Aaprt from being a ballad, I don't think it has something in common with Rise. In any case, Rise Like a Phoenix was really a strong song, with impact, this is just average.

18 I think? I've got little hope with the internally selected artists we know of, and the NF's left aren't going to go the way I want them to. Disaster year reallyxcry1
