A bit disappointing that the country that usually gives us fun, catchy, summery songs with local flavour decides the year we are lacking such songs, to send a really standard ballad... but then really, what else was going to happen? She was wonderful and the others all cocked it up with poor vocals. I'm really sad for Thomai though. I would have taken her song happily, even with the dodgy vocals. She makes me smile.
I'm ok with the Greek song though. It's better than most of the other slow, beige© lullabies and dull mid tempo's we have thus far this year. It's not extraordinary though by any stretch of the imagination, but I now have an 8th song i'm happy to hear. Latvia/Slovenia could have had a new contender though for the number 1 spot on my list with Thomai. Guess it wasn't to be. Of the songs left that we know, I actually think only Karin Park has the power to become my new favourite.
