Re: GREECE 2015

BTW, the fact that the videos are shot in a parking lot, and there are "The Mall" signs on the walls makes me hope. Will we have the show in that mall like in 2012? I hope so. xcrossed

Re: GREECE 2015

Thomai is my favorite by a mile, but I will admit that I'll miss saying "OH MAH GAWD HE'S SO HOT" about the Greek singer this year.

Wooooow another amazing national final is on the road.

Thomai Apergi is just xheart Jazz & Sirtaki is what I want from Greece. Greattttt but GREAT song.
Shaya's song remind me on Eleni, Kalomira & Eleftheria mix, it's not bad but....
One Last breath is okish, Crush and Burn is great (can't believe that I wrote it) and Baricce is just meh

So Greek people please be smart and vote for Thomai, I beg youuuuuu pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm worried about Thomai. If you look at the comments on the video, 95% of the positive remarks are in English, and most of the negative remarks are in Greek.

Re: GREECE 2015

I see nothing special about Thomai. People are probably just happy to hear traditional elements in a song

Re: GREECE 2015

1. Θωμαή Απέργη & Legend "Jazz & Συρτάκι" Please Greece, I need Thomai. That shocking change to the tempo at the endxheat She's so wonderful to watch and the song is just what we need.
2. Barrice "Ela" This is fun and absolutely all over the place. It's Greece so of course we've got to have a random, tacked on ethno dance break:lol: The chorus has a BWO feel to it.
3. Shaya Hansen "Sunshine" I probably shouldn't like this but I do. It's really uplifting. It feels the most solid, safest pop song here in terms of it's structure. Clarinet man is.... nicexshifty
4. Μαρία-Έλενα Κυριάκου - One Last Breath Beautiful in parts and a kind of dramatic, melancholy ballad I enjoy. The production sounds a bit cheap though. The song perhaps doesn't go to where I want it to go.
5. C:REAL "Crash And Burn" This is the only song here that hasn't been instant for me. It's not fun enough or interesting. The chorus is ok. It's probably a grower.

I don't think there is a disastrous choice here. I'd take any of them, although one comes with a hundred times the level of excitement:rolleyes:

Re: GREECE 2015

Well

"Sunshine" is like the composers of Emmelie's winning song in 2013 were on something and came up with this  It is definitely a favorite though, the greek audience will obviously like it!

One last breath., boring zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

"Jazz kai syrtaki" is a decent choice. It is catchy and interesting-reminds me of "Penny and the swinging cats" style. Plus, Thomai sings in greek.

"Ela" Nice cute song, a bit forgetful though? xthink

"Crash and burn" Ok i have to admit it! I like it! xheart (In a guilty pleasure way ofc!). Even under this melody i can stil recognize Taki Damaschi's talent!
Crash and burn baby! xrockout

xshockOMG, I must be getting down with the flue or something, I agree completely with the ranking and comments done by RainyWoods

No offense hun, but normally our musical tastes are at complete opposites of the scale. At least now we have something in common in the Greek NF. xheya

Re: GREECE 2015

One's verdict :D

Shaya Hansen "Sunshine" 8.5/10 - nice Eastern flavour!
Μαρία-Έλενα Κυριάκου "One Last Breath" 8/10 - starts off beautiful, though not too sure about how it ends up... though it does remind me of "Rise Like A Pheonix".
Barrice "Ela" 7/10 - thought it was going to be great, but then just sounds a bit too mixed up.
C:REAL "Crash And Burn" 3/10 - not good, boring too!
Θωμαή Απέργη & Legend "Jazz & Συρτάκι" 0/10 - awful!!!

Re: GREECE 2015

Shaya or Maria-Elena for me! Better songs than last year! Also, the NF will be held on a venue, no at the mall :p

Re: GREECE 2015

It's Thomai for me! The rest we have heard a million times in ESC. The ONLY song you MIGHT can compare to Jazz & Sirtaki is Cyprus' "Femme Fatale". Other than that Thomai's song is fresh, full of energy and I think it will stand out this year. The rest is up to Europe's taste.

Thomai has the best song, in my opinion. I don't really like any of the others.

And that did so well at Eurovision didnt it ;)

I said you "might" can compare it to. They are still different. Femme fatale belonged to the "rempetiko" genre. This is a mix of jazz and sirtaki. ;)

Why Greek people are so against Thomai?
