This country is more successful than what's sensible. "Aphrodisiac" didn't even deserve to qualify last year imo, and when it got the first 12 points of the night from Albania I wanted to turn off the TV
If they qualify again this year Romania should as well.

That's your opinion. Many people love "Alchol is free" and hate "It's my life". If you look at this poll, there's a lot of 12 points, which doesn't happen with Romania (thankfully).

I don't get it either. Maybe people get distracted by the song title??? Calling this song a joke or gimmick just because it isn't within someone's personal musical comfort zone is just silly.

I'm one of those saying this slightly comes across as a gimmick, but it has nothing to do with the genre though

I can't speak for others though, I'm not a fan of the genre but I wouldn't call a song a gimmick just based on that it's not my "type" of music...

Well, I think it's a combination of things. Firstly, I never said it is a gimmick (to me atleast), more that it comes across as such... so I get it if people say it is.

I think it just comes across as kinda joke-ish... the lyrics with the Alcohol reference, the act making a comical video, the kilts... and combine that with a genre that is borderline fun / borderline serious... there you have it.

The comical video was a briliant idea (Agathonas is so cult!), it is humorous, not a joke.
The kilts, as i have stated before are Koza Mostra's trademark, they use it in EVERY SINGLE appearance.

I try to be objective, but when it comes to such things as musical taste it'll always be subjective anyways because that's really what it is.

Oh, the one entry that really gets verbal "hate" from me this year is Russia... because frankly it asks for it

Sure, but thing with this is that it's very local and local humor, so while Greeks may get this... Europe might think it's more or a gimmick because they don't really know about them.. that's sort of what I meant.
