I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel

Sorry

I really don't care (ah, ah-ah) that you want to bash me (ah-ah, ah-ah)
Do it with flair and I'll let you be (I'll let you be common Eileen)
But don't you dare (don't you dare), mmm, to get angry (to get angry)
When you realize those words just don't hit me
What?

'Cause I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find anothеr way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wigglе with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel hate

Sorry

I really don't mind (ah, ah-ah) to be your rival (ah-ah, ah-ah)
'Cause for your kind it's essential for survival (say what? He did not just say that)
Yes, I did (yes, I did), and I feel sorry (so sorry)
I don't feel hate, that's the whole point of this song (that's the song)
I guess you need patronization as some kind of validation
You won't cope with the frustration that your random me-fixation
Is another affirmation that you're just a hateful person
Who's not really better than me

Tap break, uh

I don't feel hate (don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (wear me down)
Meine Damen und Herren
But I don't feel hate (no, no, no)
Das war's mit "I Don't Feel Hate"
I just feel sorry (just feel sorry)
Ich hoffe, Sie haben noch ein derbe nices Leben, und bis bald
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel hate (no, no, no, no)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (don't wear me down)
But I don't feel hate (I don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
So you can wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel

I enjoyed Germany's performance yesterday more than I expected considering my dislike for the song itself. But it came across as too weak and juvenile to pull off a decent result for Germany (even from the televote alone) performing right before Finland.

3 points total (0 TV points) was still a bummer albeit it was deserved.

Before the contest I thought he may pull off a decent TV place at least as he stood out as that properly silly act but it wasn't meant to be I guess.

I cringed a little bit during that spoken part of 'I Don't Feel Hate' I have to admit nonetheless.

By Germans I obviously meant the German broadcaster. I'm well aware you had no say in the matter. ;)
Germans had say in 2019 yet voted en masse for dreadful 'Sisters' that also bombed. So you cannot trust them either. I know that their NF that year was aired on some TV-station mostly watched by old people ...

Some people seem to be angry now because he said that he has better songs, but he chose to participate with this one since he thought the German jury would go for it.

First, we don't know if he actually has better songs and second, if the jury chooses a bad song, the fault lies with the jury for picking it. If the German jury wouldn't have chosen his better songs, as he said, the problem with the jury is even more apparent.

Even if he were deliberately trolling and sending a song he didn't believe in, it would still be the jury that is to blame and not him. After all, it is the jury's duty to select a good entry. Germany didn't even try to win this year because a joke entry like this was never a contender. It might have gotten more points in the televote but it would have never won.

Germany has sent way too many weak entries in recent years. They really need to change their approach. When they try to pick something that might be successful internationally, all they tend to send these days are utterly forgettable English-language pop songs, but Sweden can do those a lot better.

I've auditioned for the Fanjury next year. Trust and believe if I make it I will score every english pop song extra low, if they are not actually winning material. Everything else will get bonus points.
I applied for the fan jury but I ranked all the songs they showed me almost zero points (percents) so I guess I do not fit in. 😂

If you gave France zero points you really can not be trusted, i'm afraid :ROFLMAO:
I said almost. I was shown the songs of Latvia, Ireland, Sweden, France and I dislike the first two strongly. I can’t remember the rest of the ten songs but I didn’t like them.

Re: Jendrik

First of all, the HOD didn’t say she was pissed or unhappy or whatever. She still thinks he did well.

Secondly, I think things were misinterpreted.
Jendrik wanted to go to the Esc AT ANY COST! It was his big big dream. He knew if he wrote a "normal" song he might not be chosen. So he wrote a song that was so outstandingly crazy that he knew people would maybe choose it. He put a lot lot lot of work in it, especially all those homemade videos, so it’s not like he wanted to troll. He wanted to go there for a good cause and spread the message. I think what he‘s done is totally legit and he has all my thumbs up!

Oh god now I remember. I think I even gave Ireland quite some points just based on the studio version. I would've judged the live performance very differently though. So my "prediction" in the poll would be totally off compared to the final result...

That makes me really question how they are trying to get the people that "guess everything right" through this method...? Judging based on live performances and music videos is just so totally different.

I think they just wanted to check your music taste and how you respond to unusual songs / less popular songs but I guess I was already out at the first question „which of these TV shows do you watch“
X-factor : almost never
The voice of Germany : almost never
DSDS : almost never
😂😂😂

I naively thought this would do quite well with the televote. It seems ESC culture has almost completely moved away from the camp and silly entries that was once part of its DNA for about 10-12 years up until about 2012 (with a few exceptions like Toy). This is also reflected in the most two recent winners. Not camp, serious, contemporary. Boring for me tbh but it's also a good thing. We need a good pop banger winner next year to balance things out though.

I'm very happy at the result. The silly entries just got really tired and despite the public opinion it was never really about that. The winner never was the trashiest and dumbest act of the year.
