I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel

Sorry

I really don't care (ah, ah-ah) that you want to bash me (ah-ah, ah-ah)
Do it with flair and I'll let you be (I'll let you be common Eileen)
But don't you dare (don't you dare), mmm, to get angry (to get angry)
When you realize those words just don't hit me
What?

'Cause I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find anothеr way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wigglе with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel hate

Sorry

I really don't mind (ah, ah-ah) to be your rival (ah-ah, ah-ah)
'Cause for your kind it's essential for survival (say what? He did not just say that)
Yes, I did (yes, I did), and I feel sorry (so sorry)
I don't feel hate, that's the whole point of this song (that's the song)
I guess you need patronization as some kind of validation
You won't cope with the frustration that your random me-fixation
Is another affirmation that you're just a hateful person
Who's not really better than me

Tap break, uh

I don't feel hate (don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (wear me down)
Meine Damen und Herren
But I don't feel hate (no, no, no)
Das war's mit "I Don't Feel Hate"
I just feel sorry (just feel sorry)
Ich hoffe, Sie haben noch ein derbe nices Leben, und bis bald
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel hate (no, no, no, no)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (don't wear me down)
But I don't feel hate (I don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
So you can wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel

I have been dreading the possibility of this pulling an Alf Poier. I am relieved that the juries and the public had taste this year. The schadenfreude is real. Please Germany you had your little revolution now start sending professional songs again.

we also suck with professional songs though, look at Cascada...

I've been saying this for years... Just send German metal or folk, something to stand out and represents "Germany" . Not some cheap, English song which no one would listen before/after the show. No one sends joke entries to troll the contest anymore, it's not 2000's. Every country is seriously trying to get good results (in their own way at least) every year. This entry was simply disrespectful for Germany in the first place. While we were watching it tonight, I said "Imagine this is representing your country, how would you feel?" and everyone said they felt weird and sad for Germany

I've auditioned for the Fanjury next year. Trust and believe if I make it I will score every english pop song extra low, if they are not actually winning material. Everything else will get bonus points.

This disappoints me in people in general. You bring a song with a positive message, bam 0 points. He took it like a champ though, he truly is a good person. It's not just an act.

Berlin Techno is the answer in my book but I can get behind this. Germany is a crossover country, it doesn't get a lot of bloc voting. It's like Turkey, you have a lot of neighbors, they can go all ways, they shouldn't just bring modern pop each year.

This?

If yes, what kind of music videos did they show you? Were they from the ESC?

Yes!
They showed performance videos of a few current entries (France, Sweden, Portugal and some others) and asked us how we felt about it. Did it a while ago I don't remember every country and question ... or my exact answers. But as I remember it, I wasn't really that off compared to the final result.

I may be all alone with this opinion, but I still think this was a very enjoyable, nice and funny entry that should not have been so downvoted. Positive message without playing the victim/tragic/stereotyp-card, full of energy and authenticity, it added another flavor to this year's diverse contest.

Maybe you are lucky then and get a place!

And hopefully the jury get good songs to choose from. Some years when the German song was still chosen via TV, I thought that all options were underwhelming and doomed to end up at the bottom. That might be how we ended up with "I don't feel hate". Maybe all the other options were crap, too.

Looking back at the performance, I don't think it's as obnoxious as others might think and I enjoyed the performance.

However, I don't think if people were asked 'who you're gonna vote for' they would mention Germany.
"Will people think of me as a weird trash if I say I like Germany? What would they say if I voted for Germany? Will they laugh at me?"

Would be a dream to be somewhat involved!
But even then I would just be one random jury member :ROFLMAO: So wouldn't probably change that much, sadly.

Of course it could be a possibility but I really don't think that there wasn't at least one song that would've been better.
I can imagine that Jendrik was the only one that had an actual preplanned performance and background dancers (his friends) during the selection performances while everyone else was probably just singing alone without a choreo or anything. So Jendrik would look better in comparison but that doesn't mean everyone else was bad.

He burned some bridges now in an interview with the head of delegation :ROFLMAO: He said he knows his song was really bad and wouldn't do great and he has way better songs that would've done way better with an international audience. Alexandra Wolflast did not want to hear that :censored:

wtf I hate him even more now.. he is basically a troll then.. ughhh he didn't even deserve those 3 points he got from Austria and some another country hahaha

I think it probably just came out wrong he was really drunk and didn't think before he talked. He wanted to downplay the situation and I get that as an artists you don't want to say that the song that just bombed was the best you could do.

Where did he say that, and are there any recordings of this interview online...? 👀
