I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel

Sorry

I really don't care (ah, ah-ah) that you want to bash me (ah-ah, ah-ah)
Do it with flair and I'll let you be (I'll let you be common Eileen)
But don't you dare (don't you dare), mmm, to get angry (to get angry)
When you realize those words just don't hit me
What?

'Cause I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find anothеr way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wigglе with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel hate

Sorry

I really don't mind (ah, ah-ah) to be your rival (ah-ah, ah-ah)
'Cause for your kind it's essential for survival (say what? He did not just say that)
Yes, I did (yes, I did), and I feel sorry (so sorry)
I don't feel hate, that's the whole point of this song (that's the song)
I guess you need patronization as some kind of validation
You won't cope with the frustration that your random me-fixation
Is another affirmation that you're just a hateful person
Who's not really better than me

Tap break, uh

I don't feel hate (don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (wear me down)
Meine Damen und Herren
But I don't feel hate (no, no, no)
Das war's mit "I Don't Feel Hate"
I just feel sorry (just feel sorry)
Ich hoffe, Sie haben noch ein derbe nices Leben, und bis bald
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel hate (no, no, no, no)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (don't wear me down)
But I don't feel hate (I don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
So you can wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel

I guess a big part of the choice might also be the message.
Some people and our public broadcasters specifically see a big problem in "hate speech", so I suppose they were rather eager to support a "Gotcha!" song against the "haters".

Probably it will work like S!sters boosted feminist solidarity all over the world.

Tumblr, mostly.
They were most likely all drunk or/and high.

Nah, they were just German. Naive, earnest people who looked at the song with naive earnesty, believed in it and convinced themselves the world outside would view that song with the same outlook.

It's part of your marshellowy charm, rly. All that burnt out crusty exterior and harsh language, but on the inside you're all such gooey, sugary humes xheart

Unfortunately, that also results in unironically selecting garbage such as this song and 'Sister', but oh well it's the price you pay for being awesome.

I just read that regarding the staging they will cooperate with Lauras Luciunas who worked with the Roop. Well, seems like that they want to save the song by the performance.

I really think we also have enough quirky and special songs this year. I seriously need just a good pop song haha, that's why I'm probably so excited about Cyprus.

Fully agree. That song might have worked back in 2019 (kind of) but I'm afraid that it won't be as competitive and of high quality as Lithuania, Russia, Iceland this year (which somehow go in the same direction and will probably all qualify easily [ok, we don't have any news concerning Russia yet but I just assume that Little Big is their entrant again]).

Well, Eurovision is about countries presenting their (music) culture and sadly, Germany has none for many years now. So we may just as well send what the average German younger than 40 listens to: dull pop songs.

Not saying Jendriks song is a dull pop song (at least it sounds promising to me right now. Might change later.) but it’s stereotypical German radio pop.

My hopes are high there will be an Alf Poier-esque surprise moment, like a heavy metal riff after the ukulele. Or club bass. I wouldn’t rule that out, I know all of Jendriks videos. I know he is a funny guy. Borderline funny but on the right side. I love his humour!

So even if the song turns out to be trash I will support this guy. He‘s gorgeous, really.

I won´t. Why should I support an entry I strongly dislike?? Just because he´s representing :de:?? I´m sorry, but that´s a pretty stupid reason in my opinion.

Midnightsun gave other reasons? His sense of humour, his personality/character.

I rarely have such feelings for entrants as well, e.g. Moldova 2007. I disliked the entry but I wanted her to perform well since our German commentator said that she would have had to pay all expanses on her own if she wouldn't have reached a Top 10 result and therefore, I supported her because of empathy.
