Bravo Germany, they only way for you to get some points is by using a manipulative staging that includes pictures of Michael's passed away dad.

3 points when the poll is up, I feel nothing while listening to the song.

The fact that there are some people here that hate but also some people that love the song already shows that we did something better this year...!

Re: GERMANY 2018

Congratulations, Germany. I do think this is a recipe to get you out of the bottom few and that a lot of people will respond to this.

Now that I've gotten my mandated kindness out of the way, this is a nightmare of a disaster of a turd city of an entry. The best thing about Franklin Calleja as an artist is that there's only one of him, and now it feels like he has a German counterpart, but with the added ego and smarm of thinking he's some magnificent songwriter who doesn't write lyrics that Creed would hear and think something other than "wow, this is too sanitized even for us."

I don't want to tempt fate, but I really don't know what's left that could beat this to #43. Not Jurgiz in Lithuania, nothing in MelFest (I need to let it sink in for a moment that every song remaining on the table for Sweden is better than this), not anything that Bulgaria insists on thinking of as "quality" despite providing zero evidence therein, not even whatever Waylon is cooking up for us over in the Low Country. 0 points.

How exactly do you expect me to follow on from this? That was masterful. I can't even.

I think a lot of people are going to be pissed when this gives Germany their best result since Roman Lob.

While I am flattered, I have faith in you. You're too good at this not to do one better than I did.

Im alright with our Entry, earlier I cheered for Voxxclub but after the Performance I change my mind for Michael.
I think this Entry will get about 70-80 Jurypoints and 15-20 Televotes (probably all from :at: and :ch:) and finish around 21st-22nd.
I was a bit disappointed for the 5 Points for Voxxclub from the Experts, but in the End it didnt matter.
Without Patriotic, I give a 7.

I'm surprised by all this negativity! I find this a very honest personal and well written song. I really love this.
