I would have been pissed off no matter which country they would have chosen. The whole idea is not thought threw at all by EBU
Yeah that's what I meant - People think that it's unfair and dubious + It's seems rather random.
I thought about it and I guess the EBU wanted to assure that one country can guarantee to let Australia host the whole thing on their ground. We had our own ESC some years ago so it would be no problem to give them their time to shine. I could imagine that this is also part of a deal between the BBC and NDR - Remember NDR wanted the anniversary show? Maybe they gave the right to the BBC and they gave NDR the right to host if Australia wins. It's all speculation anyway - I'm still waiting on a official announcement. An even if it's true ... then Australia has to win the whole thing in may .... and I don't think this will happen.
