For me, the problem with the Fahrenhaidt singer in that performance is her facial expressions and gestures. She was stressed as hell and it's kind of painful to watch (even though the song was very good). I couldn't get into the song despite the atmosphere set, one can dislike "Black Smoke" and Ann Sophie, but at least, she was convincing when performing and sold it well during the night that counts.

I don't blame them though, they're humans afterall, but casual viewers judge what they hear and see.
