I Really think that the TV station ARD has been able to renew the Granprix i'ts really grate to listen to the songs this year.... There might be one or two of them who could end in top teen. like Cascada but its not a winner song in malmö My Fave. is Finn Martin!!! we danes do like his kind of style..... the chorus is weak but it has a catchy tune to it.

Indeed his song sounds veritably Danish. I do not think the rest of Europe and Western Asia would 'get' it though.

Youre quite right...... Are they going to send the final live from Der Hamburger Stadts Teater or is the show finally coming to Berlin this year??

Re: GERMANY 2013

Hasn't the ESC been much more popular since Lena entered in 2010 there in germany?

The national final and the ESC in 2010 were very successful. The national final in 2011 was a flop whereas the ESC was a success. In 2012 the national final was a huge flop and the ESC had much fewer viewers than in 2011.

It's normal that the ESC had less viewers in 2012 than in 2011, since the shows was hosted by Germany in 2011. Still, it was good ratings in 2012 right?
Anyway this years NF could have a lot of succes I think, NRD is doing a great job.

Viewing figures will tell. ;)

Since 2010 viewing figures for the national finals have been decreasing but that is probably down to the unappealing 'idol concept' as ratings for the ESC finals in 2010 and 2011 were immensely high. It remaineth to been how lasting the effects of the 2010 victory and the hosting in the subsequent year are. I must say at the moment NDR and Pro7 are doing (more or less) their best to draw their viewers' attention to USFM.

In 2010 the viewing figures were even higher than in 2011. In 2012 they still were quite good for such an event, but the drop of 15% from 50% to 35% was quite high. This means that there were around 6 million fewer viewers watching the final. I'm curious how many people will watch the national final tomorrow :)

"We danes"?
Excuse me for feeling stereotyped, but I don't think the music-taste of the average dane is remarkably different from, say, Sweden, Norway or UK, so if Finn Martin wouldn't appeal to the rest of Europe I doubt it's gonna be much of a hit here either. The fact that we've sent songs just as dull as Finn Martin's song is rather more an indicator of DR making horrible national selections for the past years than it being a natural-born love-affair for people with acoustic guitars and easy-going pop-songs. If we had Loreen in DMGP last year I'm preeetty sure Soluna wouldn't have stood much of a chance.

Don't say, you don't like Finn Martins song !!

The danish selection xmusic .... well, that conclusion belongs more in the danish selection tread than the German one if you ask me.

Frauen Regieren die Welt, were selected In the Hamburger City Theater but now....... die TUE Arena, thats bigger than Oslo Specktrum (Norwegian final) and Herning Boxen (Danish Final) By those songs they have chosen for tomorrow, I hope that it is sold out!!

Re: GERMANY 2013

It'd be such a shame when it is obvious that the most people in Europe want Cascada to win but we chose that Betty... But I can see it coming true, it'd be quite typical for Germany... :/

Some impressions of the rehersals:

Rather expecting a good show tonight. Judging by this litle pieces everyone seems to be doing a great job, with one or two exceptions. The cascada woman was really nailing it!
