Re: GERMANY 2013

Finally got round to listening to Cascada's song, and oh boy that is complete trash on first listening. I'm no newbie to Eurodance/Trance either, used to listen to that stuff all the time when I was in school. It's so by the numbers and the chorus makes me want to dip my eardrums in a vat of acid. Maybe my opinion will change over time, but not likely.

Nica and Joe's song completely passes me buy. Remind me a bit of "Running Scared". That is not a good thing.

Re: GERMANY 2013

I love comments like "I expected more from Cascada..."... what was there to expect in the first place? What EXACTLY did Cascada bring to the world of music that haven't been done a million of times before (and better)? It's funny that people still talk about Cascada as some sort of original successful musical act

Anyways, they'll probably win.

Probably you're right about the "new stuff to the world of music" but I said I was expecting something better simply because they do have better songs than Glorious. And yeah I said it myself, almost all of them sound the same and generally I don't listen to that music coz there's no melody! If you just listen to the music you can't tell which Cascada song you're hearing.

But I do like a lot of their songs so yeah, I was expecting something better. Something like the "Evacuate the dancefloor" era.

Please note I'm a Gemini. I can have two different opinions about one thing!

Why? her latest albums sound better than most of the stuff that is in the German chart. Made in Germany is one of my fav albums. You're missing out. I'm from the UK and love listening to her singing in German. Most people are surprised when I play them Made in Germany. They really like it.

Urgh! One of my pet hates, people that cannot use correct English. What is "this" supposed to infer. Are you 5?

Urgh! One of my pet hates, native speakers who try to correct others by implying that they are dumb/childish :? I bet you can fluently speak every other language including German. Thank you Mr. Know-It-All for your constructive criticism.

I don't see your point. "This" in the context of a forum shows that you entirely agree with the sentiments of the quoted/above poster. Sorry to be a grammar nazi or similar but posts like yours won't go down well here

Re: GERMANY 2013

There is some very good music in here from the Germans.Cascada could of been fantastic however the song Glorious is terrible. Its a shame but it simply isnt good enough for ESC.

Mobilee Little Sister is very good and a nice contemporary sound as is Betty Dittrich.

Its a shame Cascada didnt come up with a better song as i really like them, but it would be a big mistake to send Glorious to Malmo as its terrible.

Lol, just came back onto here after a while on holidays, and it looks like im the only one that likes glorious by cascada. though the german finalists so far released are top notch. not surprising for a country that has been in my top 2 the last 3 years.

i think that cascada should easily make it, though im loving blitzkids as well as mobilee, and intrigued to hear the others. there is no horrible song ive heard from the germans yet

I am fluent in German. I also have a good understanding of Swedish and Welsh.

What a bunch of wankers who visit these boards. One of the reasons I hate lots of other Eurovision fans. All snidey little queens who think their opinion is better than that of the next person. You all just seem to have the same morphed opinion, how sad. Sad little queens all trying to feel accepted by the numer of "likes" they receive.

Bit hypocritical, don't you think?

No, I don't. I was responding to the complete dismissal of my opinion with no real valid reason other than that the other person didn't agree. Don't worry, I won't be here long. I have too broader appreciation of music to "fit" into these close minded boards.

Sorry dude but you're saying you hate when people have a holier-than-thou opinion on things, and yet you appear to show that you believe your opinion is superior. Not to mention that on a Eurovision forum in particular the use of "queens" is incredibly offensive. I wouldn't want anyone to stick around on a forum if they appear not to want to talk to the people on it.

Yeah, I really look forward to hanging around after the "welcome" I have received around here. I only made a couple of posts remarking on a couple of artists I enjoyed and came up against a wall of attitude using sly little one word quips. And then you have the gall to question why I don't want to give people the time of day. And please don't call me dude. I am not American, and neither are you I suspect.

Re: GERMANY 2013

I call most people dude, it's in my nature, it's nothing to do with an Americanism or whatever, you're stereotyping. I don't get why you've acted so negatively towards this forum after just a few posts because we're really not a sniddy group of people. I think you might've just gotten the wrong end of the stick :p
