Put your middle fingers up
Take a shot, throw it up and don't stop
I'm, I'm, I'm living that life on the dark side

Every psycho in the scene
Hands up and follow me saying (hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo)
Empire of the freaks, all drinks on me

Just another night in my pitch black paradise
Don't wanna cry, so I gotta get paralyzed
My body is my weapon, so I keep it loaded
'Til I'm all over the place like my head exploded
Don't waste your prayers, they can't save us
Lifestyles of the sick and dangerous

Put your middle fingers up
Take a shot, throw it up and don't stop
I'm, I'm, I'm living that life on the dark side
Likе the 27 Club, headshot
We don't wanna grow up
I'm, I'm, I'm living that lifе on the dark side
Life on the dark side

Every psycho in the scene
Hands up and follow me saying (hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo)
Empire of the freaks, all drinks on me

I'm in a cave of man-made misery
Digging a grave for myself and my enemies
Of all the dark things that keep me wasted
You're the sweetest I've ever tasted

Put your middle fingers up
Take a shot, throw it up and don't stop
I'm, I'm, I'm living that life on the dark side
Like the 27 Club, headshot

This is like fine. In America, Nickelback is often that token band that acts as a barometer to someone's music taste...and, well... Anyways, I think their image sort of betrays what they actually are. Like they want you to believe that they're "dark and edgy", but it's really just an artifice to what is a pretty broadly appealing song. That being said, it is decently catchy, and the stageshow is decent enough that it should see Finland through what I expect to be a very weak semi. Massive improvement over last year (poor Aksel flop god. Almost got last when he should've had peak pity vote </3). Otherwise, I don't really have much to say about this entry, but good on Finland for not succumbing to its usual flopitude xheart :6: generous points

I'm sorry... 0 points from me. I couldn't even get through the first minute without cringing, the style just isn't my taste and the rapping left me cold

Generally I’m not a fan of this fusion style.
The song is ok but nothing special.

It will depend heavily on live performance.

4 for now.

So now rewatched their performance and have to say I am thrilled. The singers blend perfectly, the guitar vibe is great, the scratching, the drums, and the camera work is fantastic. I am also glad that BC didn't overuse pyro. The only thing they could work on is that at some parts the vocals were a little off, but I can live with that. Otherwise, absolutely wonderful performance and my straight No. 1. Let's see if another country (Georgia?) can top this for me.

I like the song, it reminds me of music I listened to when I was 16. It's definitely in my top 3 now with Lithuania and Ukraine, I put them on first spot in my ranking (it can change but there are th 3 2021 songs I like).

As a huge fan of hard rock and metal, and Finnish hard rock and metal in particular, this bland travesty of a song feels like an insult. It's so lukewarm, soul-less and corporate-sounding. It's everything I dislike about American style metal in one package. It's the perfect embodiment of this meme:

I don't hate it, and I can understand why this type of pop metal appeals to the masses, but it does absolutely nothing for me.

It is a really strong choice for Finland and the best result since 2014 or even 2006 is likely to be earned. I give it 10 points for now, because I am not 100% ready for darkness. But it is modern and outside the box of mainstream Eurovision. Congrats Finland!

An extremely palatable pop song trying suuuper hard to be edgy  It works, clearly. It's an enjoyable listen, I find some parts questionable, but over-all it has a very strong chorus and I appreciate them for bringing a bit of a different flavor with this song.

On the plus side, the forgettable snoozefests (Aksel, Oskr, Laura) were left outside the top-3.

I think Teflon Brothers x Pandora would have stood out more in ESC, but we’ll see what the remaining countries end up sending.

I’ll give Blind Channel a 7 for now, but let’s just say I’m more excited because of who didn’t win, rather than who actually won.

@LoveHate They should have hold that Arcade-game machine theme in their staging performance. That Ufo/Space theme was meh.

This is a clever entry (not necessarily in terms of the lyrical content but that's another post) and I'm not shocked that it demolished the competition.

I admit the UFO thing left me speechless with a big smile... it was a wtf moment, and certainly it’d have stood out in ESC, but not for a good reason. I’m all for hot mess stagings, but I Love You just went to the wrong direction. They already had a great concept with the 80s video game and some catchy dance moves ... there was no reason to replace somethimg that worked well in their video clip for a non-sense Mars Attack! tribute.

I'm excited for the future editions of UMK this was a great show dare I say the best production of any country even a better production than Sweden and I love how they go for quality instead of quantity (Norway looking at you).

Back in my highschool and college years I was really into nu metal type of music and similar genres and this entry highly reminds me of that.

*sigh*

But unfortunately....

It seems that my interest for these genres have expired because this entry just completely leaves me cold.
As much as well produced the song is, it sounds very "by the numbers" to me.

The only part of the song that kinda grabbed me was that bridge before the final chorus where music went very quiet and ambiental and they were whispering.

And now.........I have to be blunt.......... but the whole "stereotypical for this genre" mannerisms of the singers in the stage performance actually made me cringe.

Its a weird thing to complain about because I don´t even know what other type of performance would I expect when I hear a song like this.

But I guess it just goes to show how much disconnected I feel from this overall music genre.
