Monsters is quite good. If only it wasn't a bit too 2012? Idk.
But I'm still kinda pissed at them scrapping the entire contest and randomly giving the ticket to her. She seems nice but MANY artists would not want to step in like that. I believe most singers would have said NO in this kind of scenario. Girl is super talented, that's for sure, but the entire thing with UMK is a mess and will therefore strongly lower my hopes for Finland's success.

Monsters is quite good, but as some of you say, not as modern as it could be. Would be a euroclub hit however
I hope that they'rre building the hype up to the last song, if I were them I would put the ballad next (if one of the songs are a ballad? I think they said that I don't remember but I think so right?) and then the best song for last. I hope for a similar uptempo song with more modern production and less children chanting

Hmm "Monsters" is ok, though not anything in particular to write home about. It's going for that euro-club pop sound, but it doesn't get me excited. It's listenable. The chorus is catchy but not feeling the whole thing that much, but at least this is not going down the "Sound Of Silence" route which I feared happening when I first saw Saara's name and assumed Finland wanted to take things really "seriously". This classic ESC pop sound is more tolerable to my ears. I don't like the music video though. I'm all for high camp but that made me cringe a bit. Felt extremely try hard.
Next two songs be better pleasexcrossed

That song is utterly ghastly. Everything wrong with current pop music in 3 minutes. Quite an impressive achievement! Hope these songs are released in order of calibre, or else Finland scrapping UMK will have been for nothing.

I really like that with "Monsters" they didn't try to adapt to Eurovision format. This song sounds somewhat 2009, but in a good way. It's enjoyable and relistenable unlike most songs we have this year so far. At this stage, if chosen, it would be one of my favorites, but I'm waiting for stronger stuff - from Saara and from ESC participants in general.

I guess you watched the visuals rather than listening the lyrics (and even in the video those men are the monsters, not the ones who aren't scared anymore!). The lyrics are not exclusively for LGBT, but the song is about fears in general. And that's what Saara has said as well.

I listened to Mosters in audio and it is sounds like an outdated schlager, I didn't mean music video, I mean that song itself is quite dated.
