The song wasn't bad, I like a good Katy Perry tune. :D The vocals seemed okay to me too even though I'm no expert.

But that performance was an over the top, tacky, gimmicky mess! Other than Georgia I don't think there was any other country this year that appeared as desperate as Finland was. xdoh And frankly for some reason I found her attitude a bit off putting. xshrug

Better luck next year Finland

xthink what about Tarja Turunen? The juries would love her and she's got a lot of fans. But I guess she's not interested :(

I highly doubt she's interested at all (Nightwish tried with her back in 2000 but got screwed by jury), even though it would be interesting to see her representing Finland.

Well deserved. Send Mikael Saari next year.

Absolutely not. Had he been in Malmö instead of Krista, we wouldn't have been in the Final. Or at least would have been lost with all the ballads this year.

I'm quite shocked. I thought it would do better!

Actually I feel bad that Finland gave us 6 pts, but we didn't give anything to Krista :/

Tarja Turunen is living in Argentina. Children is coming as well? Anyway as a huge fan of her I'm not very pleased with development lately. Her way of singing is going towards the more annoying direction. Just listen to her latest live album - terrible.

I agree and it's actually strange Sweden failed to give any points. Really sorry for that.

You shouldn't. It proves somehow (once again) that the Nordics don't vote for each other if don't like the song.
I'm sorry that Finland gave 4 to Sweden, It should be ZERO!

BTW I watched the after show program in TVE via internet (Spanish Broadcaster) and I was surprised that Pastora Soler said that Finland was one of her favorites!

BUT
I don't have any idea about the voting pattern about Sweden voting for Finland over the years, but I think we usually give at least some points. So in light of that it's a bit unfair to Krista. I guess you're right though, Nordic voting in general is clearly going away from the "Nordic block voting", but I also guess it has always been more of a common taste preference than patriotic. ESC songs are thus in general going more European rather than local. :D

Yeah I think Finland was way too generous with votes for the neighbours

hmmm I missed that... I heard she said she loved Denmark + she was in our jury, so Finland would've had some points from Spain in that case I guess!

Finland got 8 points from Spain in semifinals, so I guess the televote dig it in the Final because the host asked about Finland and Pastora said that they (the jury) liked it, the other lady ( I don't know her name) wondered what could happen.

Krista Siegfrids does really well on Itunes ==> Jury deliberately decided to eliminate team Ding Dong !

Amazing job she did, would well have deserved a higher ranking. There's a lot of criticism going on in Finnish press about her show and the kiss, hope she won't take it too roughly. The show was great, and her bubbly personality made her stand out. Way to go Krista and team ding dong!

I think that kiss resulted in something opposite than she wanted. First singing about a marriage with a guy and then kissing a girl... I bet many people thought it as showing off and didn't vote. The lyrics were also a bit awkward, for example the slave and master part like she would want to promote women being worse than men in marriage :? This plus the fact that the song wasn't really that good to begin with.
