Indeed, they seem to have become the new Macedonia... qualifying and yet failing in the final!

Wow, the ex-Yugos have been sweeped out with no Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Slovenia. Bosnia-Herzegovina are out... so only Macedonia carry any hopes!

The biggest surprise for me was Lithuania. I am quite happy for it, though!
And I am superhappy that Estonia came through; it is in my top 10 this year, and she did a brilliant performance!
Gosh - and Netherlands.... Thanx Europe!
I have had Croatia in my top 10 up untill now, but I think they were a victim of the fact that there were just too few up tempo songs in this semi. Ireland, Belgium and Belarus definitely gained on the same fact; overload of ballads and very few up tempo entries.

The fallen fan favourite so far... I saw it coming as I had them 10th, borderline qualifying. The draw didn't help?

Maybe we shouldn't be surprised that Lithuania qualified. They seem to have some kind of aura of intouchability as of late. After all, Donny Montell and his blindfold and dated dance moved qualified last year (3rd in his semi-final!) and got 14th (70 points) in the final! This was at least better than that.
