I'm quite worried about Latvia. I like it, i feel it may be too niche for many viewers and could easily NQ
you know what? i think it'll make it. if Estonia 2004 (Tii) was 11th in the semi where there were 22 countries competing, then Latvia with a similar song can qualify with only 16 countries competing. it's better, has beautiful staging and seasoned performers and doesn't have direct competition.

aah, Portugal is actually one of my favourite countries in the world. Just love how beautiful, chilled, and progressive Portugal is. Plus having one of the most successful Eurovision winners in points history.

Well, I remember someone who read tarot cards on this forum, so it would be nice to play a bit.
Since last summer and just for hyperactivity slowing activities, I have been reading cards with a good friend.
About Eurovision, it is still a bit hard to tell the main tendency. However, this german lady is a pro and she was accurate last year.

Bad year for Germany, Italy, Denmark, Luxembourg, Spain and Croatia.

She was not very convinced about the outcome of Switzerland, I think. :(

It is just for fun! Enjoy :)

General gripe for a Thursday morning - I'm so over the official background music for this year's edition, it is just irritating and really puts me in a bad mood with the weird "synth voice" noises.

Every single video on the official ESC channel that uses that music, I'm immediately reaching for the mute button until I get other audio that isn't drowning in its vapid AI-ness. Hope it doesn't ruin my enjoyment of the actual shows.

Efendi has just been announced by SSG-SSR as performing at this year's contest.
Bit of a strange announcement, she's not exactly a big name in terms of ESC over the last few years. Maybe there's some Swiss connection that I'm unaware of.

I had a dream last night that Ziferblat won Eurovision, and I was disappointed

I keep having other dreams that Eurovision happens with a brand new set of artists and that it's not as good as I hoped

It has been a difficult time for me to decide whom my personal favorite this year is. For now I can say I enjoy :ie: Laika Party the most, with :mt: Serving and :it: Tutta l'Italia standing close behind. But it may change a lot during the rehearsals. I can't wait for May to arrive.

Tell me the :it: flag emoji wasn't an accident and was in fact intentional, cos for sure the Italy entry this year is making zero impression from what I've witnessed while :sm: are grabbing way more of the pre-contest conversation (and rightly so!)

You're really convinced that San Marino will get a better result than Italy since is grabbing more conversation in this period?

Not at all, but I certainly won't remember the Italy song in a few years while Gabry Ponte will last far longer in my head. Tutta l'Italia is insanely catchy!

Subjective of course, but it's how I see it so far.

De gustibus non disputandum est.
You're right, a different point of view of yours.
An intimate Italian indie-rock ballad isn't a slap in the face and doesn't have the hook most of the ESC bubble fans look for.
But personally I prefer and remember songs with sincere and raw emotions.

So what do you think are the changes to revealing the semi final results that the producers are hinting at? Have read about it in some circles, but seen no firm detail if it's just rumours or not.

A lot of the comments seem to be erring on the consensus that the hosts might reveal the countries not qualifying for the final and out, instead of revealing the actual qualifiers. But that would be mental to basically just focus the camera on disappointed artists seeing their dreams crushed - we need the energy and joy of them hearing their country called!
