We let them tell us what to do
Why why why
We live to die for worthy things
Oh ya ya ya

We promised we would never lose our pride
Your word's worth nothing if you lie
We're standing tall and looking up, our Father would be proud
And I'm happy to be working my own ground

We'll be the last ones breathing here

Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

We're taught that we were born to lose
But why why why
Don't waste your breath, it's time to choose
Oh ya ya ya

We promised we would never lose our pride
Your word's worth nothing if you lie
We're standing tall and looking up, our Father would be proud
And I'm happy to be working my own ground

I said
Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

I hope

We let them tell us what to do
Why why why
We live to die for worthy things
Oh ya ya ya

No matter what they try, tearing up our lives
I know we will always rise

I said
Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

I hope

The future still remains our own

I hope

10. Ott Lepland – “Aovalguses”
and finally another drama ballad - this time in full drama mode + piano - boring for me but he looks very good - 3/10

Ott missed some notes here or there, but it was among the best today. The song though is kinda dull and reminds me too much a couple of other songs which titles now I can't recall.

I rarely want a song and performance to just be...better...than I do Ott Lepland's performance this year. And to a similar extent, Elina Nechayeva as well. Both had two of the most memorable ballads in the last 10 years since I started watching ESC.

@Mainshow hit the nail on the head on this one. You can't not compare this song to Kuula. Kuula was raw, it was emotional, it had a personable quality that "Aovalguses" lacks. I think it's the staging. Kuula was literally warm, the staging had hues of yellow and orange, Ott was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, etc. Ott would make a great winner, someday.

"Remedy" somehow is both doing too much and too little at the same time. As others pointed out, they seemed to have dropped her wires a little too quickly. I hope she's alright.

:12: Elena Nechayeva - Song is great, though under Rändajad. Elina delivers but the staging is pretty bad to me... Was a bit disappointed
:10: Ott Lepland - Still the boss. Really delivers qong and emotion, though the composition itself is not that catchy
:8: Kaia Lisa Kessler - It is a ballad but she did one of the best renditions tonight
:7: Frants Tikerpuu & Triin Nitoja - Some harmony troubles, but all in all it was pretty. Triin is great
:6: Merilin Malk - Sad we had no live but I love the song
:5: Stig Rästa - It is catchy but he's not believable as One Direction... Should have given the song to someone else. Vocals were aweful
:4: Alabama Watchdog - Nice rock song but lacks some catchiness
:3: Andrei Zevakin & Grete Paia - Song is not good
:2: Elysa - Why not directly cover Fuego then... Next song "Extaaaaaasiiiia always until the end of the world !""
:1: Helen - It is enjoyable but totally bland

All in all, this semi is a bit of a let down. I am disappointed 😞

Welp, Elina, Stig, Ott, and Andrei & Grete are pretty much certain finalists. Guessing ELYSA will be the 5th but hope Frants & Triin can upset the odds. They need to work on their performance though. Kaia-Liisa was good LIVe but I doubt she has a realistic chance.

Kaia-Liisa Kesler :4:

Ok, I´m sold. This was a visually and vocally stunning performance. I loved it that she altered her way of singing a bit (especially the few lines before the middle 8 part). She should re-record the song and make us of her operatic voice more often.
I loved her hair-do, her outfit and she hit every single note. A Queen!
Hope to see Kaia-Liisa back in Eesti Laul in the future with a stronger song.
