Because half of the Estonians are not working in Finland. Even Russian diaspora is bigger in Finland.

We ARE good friends, have close cultural and lingual ties with Finns, and would get points from them anyway.

Estonia is #1 in Finnish iTunes. Estonia got 10 points from Finland because Finns liked the song very much.

7th place is a small disappointment but still a good result IMO.

yeah, clearly that matters when the song is in English and qualifies as a radio-pop-song.

I am not denying (Armenians won't allow me :D) that there are many Estonians living in Finland, mostly on low-paying jobs yes, but we would still get high points from Finland even if there weren't so many Estonians living there.

Lets see how much point we got from FIN jury and people. Probably no Estonians in FIN Jury ... so I am guessing we were not in top 3 in FIN Jury opinion no matter that we have amazing cultural and lingual ties with Finns.

If I counted correctly, we got points from 26 countries. And mainly they were small, 1-3 points. It's so obvious that jury voting killed our chances for higher points.

No, of course not. It matters in the perception of the nation.

I was very surprised at how nervous Stig was. Elina held it together and dragged him back into his normal self. Damn jury must have voted them low.

Days of glory for "Goodbye to yesterday" will soon come. The song will soon become a European radio hit.

So basically what you say is that Finns are robots who vote for Estonia because our our ties and do not really care if our song is good, bad or awful. I am sorry, but I think differently and have much higher respect to Finns ability to act like humans.

Really weird... in semi we gave 12 to Hungary and only 8 to Russia.
OMG @ 2 points to Macedonia. We have never given them any points before

That's exactly how friendly/political voting works.
