The Estonian entry is an easy forgettable song, they had obviously a better option. Too bad that beautiful language wasn't used in a better entry..

Yes i think the song is very good but it needs some work.Id drop the country style instrumentation and change to strings,a violin, bass etc,,make the song more emotional.Id also include a key change so Birgit can add some oomph to the song and build up.
Birgit has a perfect pitched vocal for this, and looks great,,now the songwriters need to change the song in a few areas to give her the version she deserves.

This is what Mart Normet, head of our delegation, said after the meeting yesterday:
Slight changes in the production are not out of question but maybe they'll just remaster it.
Foreign versions for promotion are considered.
No music/promotional video is planned, they'll just choose between the two Eesti Laul performances.

The only thing that worries me,
is that Estonia is at the first part of the semi, which have many ballads, and it maybe lost in there, and forgotten by the televoters.

Well they have said they might make changes.Birgit doesnt need any change. She looks fantastic and is a wonderfull singer. The song needs more oomph for her though.
A key change would really help her lift it and or they really really need to change the intrumentation from country inspired to strings.
A string section on stage with Birgit all in white would really make this song,,it would add mood, depth and emotion. There is nothing stopping them doing this and Birgit deserves them to get this right.

I still find this a very good ballad. I dont want to key change or other trick to make an impact. This is in my top 10 for now.

Such a missed opportunity not sending Grete. Her song had so much more scope than Birgit's rather bland ballad. Annoying to see her lose by so few votes after she beat Birgit on the public vote earlier in the evening.

Yes! I think this might get lost in the sea of ballads/mid-tempo songs in semi 1. Grete would've stood out more.

For some reason I find Grete's song even more bland. Birgit is at least sincere, but Grete's was completely typical cliched pop ...

I'm not a big fan of our song but I have no doubts it will do well at the ESC. It's pretty much Kuula vol. 2 in my opinion, but with more appeal to general audience.

True ! I don't understand the appeal for Grete Paia... It's not a stand-out. It would'nt have been released as a single by Laura Põldvere... And Grete is too young, she doesn't have any experience of the stage... Birx is way better for the stage ! :)

This doesn't beat Kuula... I don't know what fans have against Ott Lepland. He's one of the best vocalists and charismatic singer not only in Estonia but in the whole Europe. Kuula is a great song with a hook and very emotionnal parts. It was a masterpiece and I knew it the first time I listened to the longer version (that I love even more because there are lots of modulation of emotions, especially at the end of the song). Everyone told me it wouldn't go the final. I said it would be to 15 at least (though I couldn't believe it will end up so high !).

My only fear with Birx is that she will be surrounded by many ballads as they are almost all in the first part of the 1st semi...
